Sure, why not? Through in a couple Justices and a Surgeon General while we're at it. I just want him to force a Contested Convention. Then, if all foes according to plan, the GOP will screw with Trump, he'll get pissed off and go Independent and both he and the Republicans will stand no chance in the election. Also, this could cause permanent damage to the Republican Party. Christmas could come early this year. Side: Great Idea!!
The funny thing is everything you said in your second paragraph also applies to the Democratic Party's presidential race. Bernie Sanders has SO much support from young people, I doubt they would ever vote for Hillary should she secure the nomination. And if Bernie goes Independent, then that could put Hillary in the dump, and only most likely help to benefit Trump. Side: Drop Out, Cruz-er Loser!
Oh, you are right. Something like 40% of Bernie supporters said they won't vote for Hillary. I'm not one of them, I can't stand Hillary but I'd take her over Trump, Cruz or even Kasich any day of the week. And if Bernie kicks serious ass in the remainder of the race, we might go contested too. But I find it unlikely he would go independent, for exactly the reason you stated. I think he's too smart to be another Nader. But the big difference is the Democrats are more unified (for now) than the Republicans. Between the Establishment, the Tea Party, the Libertarians and the Evangelicals, you have a lot of people with somewhat different goals pulling and tugging and threatening the solidarity of the party. AND this has been going on at least since Obama got elected, probably longer. The Republicans were born when the Whigs were no longer viable. It may be time for a new conservative party to spring up out of the ashes of the Elephant. Side: Great Idea!!

I'm NOT a Trump supporter but, anyone doesn't believe "with Cruz, we ALL lose" isn't listening to him (Cruz). He's the most dangerous candidate (to America) that's in the competition! Want pollution? Want runaway capitalism? Want a theocracy? Vote for Cruz! I would wish he would go back to Canada ... but I like Canadians! Side: Drop Out, Cruz-er Loser!
