Should Trump release his taxes or not?

Hello:

For sure, Trumps 2016 tax return is NOT under audit..  Why doesn't he show us that one?

Every President is automatically under audit! Every President since it started has released his returns IMMEDIATELY WHILE UNDER AUDIT! Trump makes his own rules .... like any other dictator.

Funny, a very short time ago the right was complaining about too many "Executive Orders", about a President acting like a KING, ruling by decree, NOT going through Congress, about not following the Constitution, about being secretive, about not having a budget! NOW, we REALLY have a President that is doing (or not doing), ALL those things, but, that's O.K.! This one even wants to CHANGE the Constitution and create his OWN "Bill of Rights"! He said he didn't want to be the worlds policeman, wanted to concentrate on America for Americans! Is there a promise he HASN'T broken? A lie he HASN'T told??

His taxes will likely tell a story he doesn't want read! That's the ONLY reason he's not showing them.

Crazy Al of Road Island can you show where there is a law in place that requires a President to release their tax information ?

Let's use a little deductive reasoning here.

1)You opposed his positions originally and despised him.

2)Now you are claiming he has swapped positions.

3)Which means he was supporting your position before, and you opposed him or...

4)He is supporting your position now... and you oppose him.

And the left wonders why we don't take them seriously anymore...

The left has gone into a frenzy over the last two leaks of his taxes. Guess what. Nothing. Notta. Zero.

And liberals clapped like seals. We are holding them to their own former standard. It's only a problem because he isn't Barack.

Obama had a yearly rate of EO's lower than the Bush's, Clinton, Reagan. Yeah. That's something to clap like seals about. Trump is on a rate to surpass everyone (except maybe Roosevelt during the war years!). He, (even with the preplanned obstruction), got more through Congress in the first months than Trump has ...which is nothing! (Without changing the rules, that is!). It IS a problem that he isn't Barack, he doesn't know what he's doing!

And now I present to you why I am so amused by your meltdown.

Hello:

Of course, I don't think Trump would try to make money off his presidency.. That would be HORRIBLE and ILLEGAL too.. So, I TRUST him.

But, a long time ago, Ronald Reagan said, "trust but VERIFY". So, when Trump makes policy, I'd like to know if it benefits HIM or our beloved country.. You would too, wouldn't you?

Hello Ex-Con:

There is no law requiring any President to release any tax information. Can't you Progressives just get over it ?

If Hillary had just won and the Russians didn't hack the election then you Progressives would be happy right ?

Side: He's under audit and can't

I couldn't care less. They keep hacking them and leaking them, and nothing of importance is ever in them. All the last leak proved was that he paid way more taxes at a higher rate than any of the politicians griping about it in the first place.

Nevertheless, Obama couldn't provide a birth certificate for years, and the one woman (Fuddy) who would know, magically died. Red flags were everywhere. The left didn't even care.

Something else I have learned watching Trump. He's an artist at baiting the liberal media, and then making fools out of them. He's fine with them going insane, then proving they are... insane, but he's always sure to let them run with it awhile first. Do you really think there's something ominous in those returns? Why no. He's holding them back on purpose, just to release normal looking returns as Rachel Maddow sits there with her mouth open. She's been had more than once. The last release by her of his leaked returns was priceless. So priceless that I put it on my Brontoraptor site.

Honestly I couldn't care less about it. I have no reason to think he broke any laws with regards to his taxes and he is not legally obligated to disclose them.

Candidates Are Not Legally Required to Release Tax Returns

No. There is no legal requirement of any kind that presidential candidates release tax returns from any year. Indeed, there is a strict, strong constitutional right to privacy for all tax returns. Thus, tax returns can be released by an individual taxpayer, but cannot released by the IRS to the public.

Despite the lack of legal requirement, for the last thirty years, almost all presidential and vice presidential candidates have released reams of their personal tax returns. Of 34 past presidential and vice presidential candidates, only seven — Brown, Buchanan, Huckabee, Forbes, Giuliani, Lugar, Nader — declined to release personal tax returns.

No law requires the release of tax statements.
