I think it is very important for the environment, so YES we should recycle! Since the day recycling got introduced waste on landfills have decreased a lot and we need to spread the word out to everyone and recycle more. Resources are running out and with recycling we can re use resources and this means we can have more products etc! If the world did run out of resources what would you do? Im sure everyone wouldnt know what to do and with recycling it helps the world from not being in that situation! Recycle now. Side: We Should Recycle

I think recycling is important. Recycling is when materials are re-used for future. This saves energy and reduces the amount of waste put in a landfill. If we didn’t recycle then all of the land will be used for landfill and there would be no space left. Barnsley is good for recycling as it has 4 recycling centres and multi-coloured bins for the public. The council also collects waste from the bins but you could take it yourself to a centre. Green bins are used for garden waste, blue bins for cardboard, brown bins for metal, glass and plastic, etc... Side: We Should Recycle

Recycling is important because it reuses materials, saves energy, reduces the amount of waste being put into lanfills and reduces the amount of pollution we produce. If we don't recycle we will run out of some materials and have nowhere to put our waste. Recycling can also help reduce the amount of litter because litter is not recycled. It helps with the enviorment and is good for global warming. Side: We Should Recycle

yes i think we should recycle because it is a important matter and we should do it to protect the world as a whole. it helps the environment and helps keep our streets clean of trash and we also reuse waste material to stop filling landfills so it helps. Side: We Should Recycle
I chose recycling due to the fact that not enough people do it! Recycling is the process of making or manufacturing new products from a product that has originally served its purpose. My views on recycling is that it is very important if we want to benefit our planet for the future and this will make the earth a better place for my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In 2013, the UK recycled 43.9% of waste. The government are trying to increase the rate of recycling by placing different coloured bins in every home to make people recycle from home. DEFRA, have a goal of reaching 50% of recycled waste by 2020. In 2011 Barnsley recycled a record amount of waste. 64%. That increased by 21% from 2010. This percentage is still increasing in 2014/2015 which is good for Barnsley and our enviroment for future benefits. The reason recycling is improving is because of the 4 colour bins and a white bag, (grey, blue, green, brown and a white bag for paper.) Side: We Should Recycle

Recycling is when we reuse old, unwanted items to make new and better items. I think we need to recycle more because people are just throwing valuable resources away for no reason. I think that we should stop wasting items and think about what we could use them for. I have talked to two women Gemma and Abby and I asked them some questions about what their views are on recycling. I also asked some fellow students in my VMG group and presented a powerpoint presentation to make people recycle. Side: We Should Recycle

Recycling is a responsibility because it carouses pollution and less litter and It will keep litter out of landfills and businesses could use less packaging and won’t produce more waste and you can stop littering because when it is picket up it is not sorted so it will produce waste i talked to 2 ladys on recycling and made a Preston to my form to try to change peoples views Side: We Should Recycle
The Great Pacific Garbage Patch or Pacific Trash Vortex is reputed to be three times the size of Britain, a floating island of rubbish some say 700,000 sqkm in size some say in the millions. If the existence of such a phenomenon is not sufficient to motivate recycling I do not know what is....? Side: We Should Recycle

Recycling is when we turn old, unwanted items into more useful products. This is important because it helps to preserve materials, such as plastics and metals, so that they don't run out as fast. If we resumed using up the materials that we do at a constant rate, we would need at total of three planets to supply us with what we are using. It is estimated that these materials will run out in approximately thirty years so we will eventually have to find alternative materials to create the products we are making. Recycling can help slow down our consumption of these materials so they will be available for us to use in many years to come. It reduces the amount of waste sent to landfill so this results in less pollution being created. Around 175 million tonnes of waste is sent to landfill and if we recycled even more this could be reduced significantly. When the rubbish is biodegrading, over ten different toxic gasses are released into the atmosphere creating pollution. Methane (a more potent greenhouse gas) is produced during landfill. It builds up pressure and begin to travel through the soil. Recent studies have shown that people living closer to landfills are more likely to suffer from lung and heart diseases. I think we should recycle because it is very important to save the environment, as it saves energy. It also helps to reuse products which will not cost us a big amount of money like it would without recycling. We need a more sustainable future to the younger generation. We need to spread the word out to everyone and recycle more! Side: We Should Recycle
I think we should recycle because it is a very important issue. I think we need to recycle so we don't cause more global warming and it is very important for the environment. It saves energy. If you recycle it will save energy. It doesn't cost that much to recycle. However if you don't recycle you will fill more landfills up and if we keep filling them up it would take at least 3 of our worlds to hold our rubbish. We need a more sustainable future to the younger generation. We need to get ore people to recycle. You can recycle bubble wrap as long as the bubble are not popped. It will make a huge difference if everyone helped and recycled. Side: We Should Recycle

Recycling is when we turn old, unwanted items into more useful products. For example, we can recycle used paper and turn it into toilet paper for other people to use. This is important because it helps to preserve materials, such as plastics and metals, so that they don't run out as fast. If we resumed using up the materials that we do at a constant rate, we would need at total of three planet Earths to supply us with what we are using. It is estimated that these materials will run out in approximately thirty years so we will eventually have to find alternative materials to create the products we are making. Recycling can help slow down our consumption of these materials so they will be available for us to use in many years to come. Recycling saves energy because the manufacturing process requires considerably less energy for the materials to be made. This also means that we don't have to use energy to get these materials in the first place. More energy is needed to extract, refine, transport and process raw materials ready for industry than recycling. It reduces the amount of waste sent to landfill so this results in less pollution being created.
