People should'nt be drinking and driving anyway that's already illegal, so might as well make cars illegal too. Alchohol is fun and making it illegal wont stop people drinking, it'll just be another thing for criminals to make money off (just look at Prohibition in America) and add another thing to the list for the Police to battle in the already losing battle against drugs Side: no

Alcohol is already a part of the society worldwide, so it's OK to drink alcohol, except if you're in a religion which disallows you to do so, or in a state when taking it would be dangerous for you (e.g: before driving) ; or for others (e.g: having a bar fight, etc.) Also, we must not overconsume alcohol, nor are minors (such as myself), allowed to Side: no

I would much rather get into a car driven by someone who's just smoked a joint as someone who's just down a fifth a vodka. Also, I've never been around two guys who just smoke a joint and decided it's now time to challenge each other to fisticuffs. It's why they call it the peace pipe. In the old days, the indians would be sitting around the fire. And one of the indians would say "hey, Chief, man..." And the Chief would say "Dude what?" And then they ask "do you want to go to war with this Humanahumana buffalo tribe?" And the Chief would say "oh, fuck no, man! I'm gonna sit my ass down and smoke another bowl." Side: no
Hey Guys you forget one important argument about his topics! Question: When mostly people get drunk? Of course in Parties, vacation and most thing in Weddings. But why people get drunk or drink alcohol because of stress at the JOB, or having soul breakdown. Nowadays, our jobs are so stressful and pain in the brain. So people drink alcohol to make themselves relaxed after hard work. For example my father: He works in the Dessert drilling oil for our people. When we have a wedding of our relatives he come with so pleasure and will drink with his brothers (my uncles). It is his way of relaxing after dessert work. Moreover, You guys were telling about Prohibition in 1920s in America. Yeah it is strong argument. IF government will prohibit alcohol, people will still find ways to drink alcohol. But at that time (1920s) situation was worse People wasn't drinik alcohol they were driniking posion because that chemical which were made in 1920s will kill anyone from nowadays. Also Bootlegers (Gangster as you say) appeard at that time and crime rouse so quickly in big cities like Chicago, and New York. Most memoriable Bootlegger is Al Caponi with his mark St. Valentine's Day Massacre. So Makeing Alcohol illegal brings more damage then making it legal! In conclusion Guys if you can't drink don't drink. what I mean know your frame of alcohol. Know after what shot you won't remember anything and try not to go out of that frame Side: no

No. Alcohol should not be illegal. No substance should be illegal. We can all agree and throw around statistics about how bad alcohol really is, how many people have died from alcohol poisoning, drunk driving, etc. But that's just the same for cigarettes, everyone fucking knows that their bad for you, it is what is generally called common knowledge. This will not however, stop people from continuing. It might stop people starting and it might HAVE stopped people continuing before this information became common knowledge, but now... in the 21st century, NO ONE (or at least a very very minute percentage of people) are holding up that cigarette to their mouths, about to light up, when they see the warning label on their pack and go "NO FUCKING WAY! I DIDN'T KNOW CIGARETTES DID THAT!!!" We all know how much prohibition fails. It failed in the 20's and 30's, and it has continued to fail even now. With marijuana, crack, meth, heroin, etc, etc. Let people do what they want with their bodies. give them the information, educating them on why they probably shouldn't do certain things, but allow them their own freedom. Legalize and control. And if the government were smart, legalize, control and tax the hell out of. Side: no
Alcohol does have extreme consequences envolved with it, but I believe that these consequences would only intensify and become even bigger if alcohol became illegal because we've already tried to make alcohol illegal back in the 20's and that gave birth to organized crime and black markets. People wanted alcohol that badly. I'd rather they keep alcohol legal with some measure of control over it then people going to black markets and creating more crime for everyone. Side: no

This debate is a bit silly. The United States has already tried this experiment. Even if we made alcohol illegal, all it would do is cause a repeat of prohibition nearly a century ago. We already know the results of this. Making alcohol illegal is completely off the table and pointless to consider. It should be legal. Along with a plethora of other drugs that are currently illegal... Side: no
