I would never let a dog go near a baby, regardless of the dog's 'personality'.

But seriously, some people just aren't dog people. And besides, there are many people that shouldn't be near dogs, like babies.

A lot of people don't know how to take care of dogs, and many would get neglected... It would be horrible.

I like all animals but a dog is not a need. On the plus side they make very good companions but it's a lot of work2 take care of.

Psh, last dog I had was insane! I love dogs but they're a lot of extra work and a fair bit of money goes into them. If you want one, get one. But sometimes it's just not an option.

Yes, having everyone own dogs is a great idea, but there are some people who , unbelievably, can't stand dogs (or any animal), and there would be many cases of cruelty and bad treatment to the dogs if everyone was forced to have one.

It's not that dogs make a mess, it's that some people can't take care of animals; i would rather see a multiple well kept dogs in a house versus one dog in each house not being taken care of

No why should they? How can anyone tell anyone else that they should be responsible for another life.
