Should animals be used for chemical/ medical research?

As long as they are in a state where they won't feel any physical pain if it does come about, I don't see an issue with it. I mean, we already kill them for food!

I don't know anything about how such research is performed, but as long as it's as humane as possible...?

Why not, we use them for everything else. I don't know why people get so uppity about research, yet don't give a shit about curing cancer. Chill the fuck out and have a burger.

I do agree with you as much as i love animals, They should be the least of our worry's when there are still deadly diseases to cure. (bearing in mind I do still wish it would stop, if they tested on volunteers wouldn't they get more accurate results)

I don't think there would be many volunteers for having potentially harmful drugs injected into them.

There are alternative available which are much MUCH better than torturing a poor animal who can feel pain and wants to live a normal life.

I also believe that animals should not be used in research, it is cruel and many times what works on animals never works on humans.

Who says this means torture? You could just kill the animal painlessly if it requires it via lethal injection, which is painless. Also, for medical experiments they will put the animal under anesitia anyway, because they'd want to do it exactly like they'd do to a human for consistancy.

You clearly don't know how experiments are done on animals. Read the basics.

Do you believe in bug spray?

Exactly, this line of thinking only leads to Jain eating habits & impossible life style choices, hardly what many perceive as the 'correct' way to live.

Can you live without using a bug spray?

No. Because the bugs will kill you with whatever diseases they bring in.

Can you live without chemical research?

Yes. There are modern computerized testing which is already being used by various companies. 100% effective.

Of course not. In this day and age if we still depend on animals as test subjects then I don't think the product is worth it.

I think the researchers should employ willing human beings who get paid a nice sum.
