Should breakfalls and basic defensive martial arts be part of school curiculum?

I'm not talking about how to attack other people but simple things, like how to fall over without hurting yourself too much or how to escape from wrist grabs/strangleholds, in small courses like we have first aid courses.

Yes. Its really a wonder why PE class teaches sports instead of self-defense and fire/earthquake drills

There should be no P.E. lessons. They are not the point of going to school and the only job you can gain from them is being P.E. teacher.

To be fair, PE is a part of self-discovery. It hones future athletes and provides entertainment in an otherwise lifeless place.

But nevertheless, I believe that training them for useful things would be more beneficial

Side: Yes

The curriculum should be focused on helping us leave with the best qualifications we can. People can learn other things in their own time.

This isn't really true. Schools have many other uses, especially primary schools. In lower school years we learn about internet safety, sexual health, finances, drugs and other 'life skills', as schools are the easiest way to get important messages across to children. Why should basic personal safety not be on this list?

Because personal issues are things parents should teach you or have you taught themselves. You should only go to school to get you on the road to getting a career.

I'd hate to sound dismissive, but it sounds like a liabilities mess to me.
