everything evolves with time and i feel now the time has come that english language must evolve,it should be easier, fun and interesting, all the qualities of the modern texting language. The first step would be legalizing it in the schools.so i strongly feel that electronic english must be legalized in the schools and be the change!!!

I can't even understand half of what you said, what makes you think your teachers can?

You're taught proper grammar for communication purposes, you saying you want to change it just like that wouldn't be successful.

Side: NO

In general I would say no, though I would leave room for exceptions like college courses devoted to helping businesses attract maket share from younger audiences. People need to have a shared understanding of a language to even make derivatives of that language intelligible.

Lord help us, another american who cannot speak English. This wouldn't have happened if they were still a colony.

Dude, come on, don't make this about Britain vs. America...I don't have the energy to argue with you again, to be perfectly honest. Young fools who talk like this are worldwide; US, UK, Japan, France, Spain, Germany...the list goes on and on. I am in complete agreement with you: electronic language should not be legalized, it is a barbaric form of communication. But it really has nothing to do with America or Britain...

"I don't have the energy to argue with you again"

By the way, last time I argued with you, you stopped debating for no reason, I assumed this is because you weren't alerted about it for some reason. Do you mind digging it up again?

No, SMS language should not be legalized in schools because it makes people look illiterate and retarded. Just think when you get a career one day you won't write papers like that! I swear some people are so obsessed with texting that they forget how to actually act and speak clearly in proper English.

Side: NO

That's not called 'electronic English', that's called retardation.

I'm not even saying that in a derogatory term, that is literally plain retarded.

The following is my opinion so to disagree would make it personal.

I think that the idea is terrible, to make such an offense against the English language is an inexcusable crime and you should be punished or defacing our language. I don't have the slightest clue why that isn't a law.

If there was a signpost that had SMS language on it I would phone the police. If they said I was being ridiculous I would explain that I was protecting young brains from being brainwashed into leading stupid lives. I would NEVER apologise for such an action.

If there was a law passed then the person whose idea it was should be taken into Regent Street and crucified.

Thanks for reading.
