Though this question is much too broad and has no context, I believe physician-assisted suicide, a type of human euthanasia, should be legalized.

From having worked with elderly people and delivered meals to them for several years I've seen people who were of sound mind but in too much pain to talk other than a few words with moans and gasps of pain in between them. I've seen people who were depressed because they had no family that cared about them and who had very limited mobility. I've seen people dying of cancer. Would you want your mother or grandmother to live the last few years of her life in pain and depression? Probably not. Physician assisted suicide could end the suffering of these people, and on another note, it would also reduce the amount of money and resources being used to keep these people alive when they don't really want to be.

Most definitely. I am approaching 65 and what I do with my body is my choice not church or state. I will do it assuming I have my sanity in another 15-20 years( depending on my health it maybe sooner. I don't have a problem with those who don't believe in it then don't do it. Too many laws decide what & where, how & when the individuals decide their own future. If you're religious then as you say God will judge whether it was a crime. As an atheist I am doomed to hell according to the Bible, the Koran and most religions.

If a patient is suffering in pain and no cure is in sight, a patient should be allowed to die with dignity.
