NO! (Says this left wing liberal!) Should they have some regulation? Should we KNOW as much as we can about an individual (like, maybe, that he is a known terrorist?), before we hand one to him? YES, (Says this gun owning left wing liberal!)! Terrorists, domestic abusers, known criminals, the "mentally challenged", people arrested for making threats several times, are NOT members of a "well regulated militia"! You HAVE noticed that the Constitution, in no uncertain terms, SAYS ....WELL REGULATED! No. This is far too simple of a debate with far too broad of a potential scope. Hey, I don't think people who are worried about gun violence aren't even necessarily trying to outlaw their existence completely. That's a slippery slope argument out of fear. The majority simply agree common sense attempts at keeping people safe shouldn't be met with a stone wall refusal. Period. Side: no
