There is something called age of consent/statutory rape laws. A dating couple does not have to have sex, they can get along perfectly fine without having to.

Hey if it should be illegal for a 16 year old guy to date a 20 year old girl then why dont we make it illegal for a 20 year old to date a 40 year old? At least that would be fair.

I just think consenual sex between a 16 year old male and an older woman is a completely different situation than when the sexes are reversed.

I think male age of consent should be around 15 or 16.

It's really really really hard for me to give any credence to a man who claims to be physically abused by a girl... I mean, hit the gym dude. Unless like I said some kind of weapons or drugging is involved, but that's not really the situation I'm addressing.

Well, 20 might be cutting it close, I mean they could have been in highschool at the same time, maybe they started dating then or something. I don't think it's like evil or anything, just a little odd maybe... when the guy is the older one. I do think there needs to be some cuttoff though, and that is about the right range I think, maybe like a 4 year limit until they reach 18 or something.

Now when a female is the older one; I realize maybe some guys could have the mental issues that woman have at that age as far as sex goes... least that's what the law seems to believe,

personally though, I would have loved to have sex with a hot teacher when I was in highschool, or hot nurse, maid, etc basically any grown woman in a uniform :)

I don't know, I have a double standard, but being male my whole life, and having almost all male friends, it just looks like two very different things to me. I literally don't know any guy (who has not been completely whipped by a woman in their life and whose balls are not being stored in her purse) who doesn't hear one of these stories about some teenage boy getting it on with a teacher or something, and doesn't say "lucky bastard."

As a 21 year old (and older) you are an adult. You pay your own bills. You have LIVED longer and have experienced life emotionally longer without your parents guidance and rules. And anyone under 18, I don't want to hear how you are mature for your age. How would you know that? You haven't lived as an adult. You don't have the life experience to make that statement. Any one 21 and older wanting to date a 16 year old needs their intentions examined. A 21+ year old does not have ANYTHING in common with a sixteen year old. I look at a 16 year old and see a child, Not someone I want to have sex with. Even as a 19 and 20 year old you are still learning how the world really is. Many teens who believe and/or treated as mature for their age end up pregnant or being a teenage father.

Yes they should. You are not as mature underage. These age limits exist for a reason. Don't you remember the older kids in elementary convincing the younger kids to do things they shouldn't? Same basic principle. The 20 year old male/female can convince the 16 year old female/male to do things they are not mature enough to be doing and/or would not choose to do otherwise.
