Should people be judged by looks?

This is manely about tattoos. Many people have tattoos and some people think that makes them a bad person. But why? Do looks actualy matter?

Same with piercings. If they are on more than the ear it's all of the suddn 'wrong'. What do you think?

Should women wear makeup? That's also about looks. And clothes matter, too then.

People should NOT be judged by looks. You can't help what you look like at birth. But its not about birth looks because we were all "adorable" when we were young. Nowadays people are judged for their face, their belly size, their butts, if they have acne or not. All of these things are pointless. Guys/Girls don't even care about personality. They want all of the good things i said above. They don't care if they have the personality of a rock. They just want a cute relationship with a cute person. But they never talk to the "ugly" people. They look at them as if they are lower than them. But they are not. We are all equal. Everyone is special in their own way.

What you said is damn correct ! People now-a-days want a good looking person for their relationships but he/she may not have a good heart ! We should judge people in the long run by their personality !

People say beauty is only skin deep, well so is ugliness. A person's looks ''might'', just ''might'', be a contributory factor in the formation of his/hers personality and have an influence on how they interact with their fellow human beings. Like it or not, attractive people are usually better received in most situations and are regularly treated with a little more courtesy than someone who is grotesquely ugly and overweight. Over time the smiling faces of the friends and acquaintances of the ''beautiful people''tends to make them warmer and more trusting. When males, young or old, describe a female as a lovely person with a great personality you can be pretty sure she is ugly and fat. A lot of employers, sometimes consciously, sometimes subconsciously, consider overweight people to have little willpower and a low self esteem and decide well, if they don't have much respect for themselves, then why should I? So, whilst it's wrong to judge people by their looks, a lot of people unknowingly do.

I will just say that looks do matter at a job interview. If one does not dress properly, it is highly unlikely that he or she will be hired.

Looks matter in making a first impression. After that, you better have some depth.

People with tattoos and multiple piercings start out at the bottom and then have to work their way up.

Good looking people start out near the top and tend to go down from there.

Physical "good looks" are one of the methods we use to select potential mates. Symmetry and youth are universally favored. Symmetry denotes healthy genes, while youth equates with strength vitality. These are desirable traits for parenting offspring. This accounts for our attraction to others in associations other than reproduction as well. Leaders are often the strongest or cleverest, because survival favors these traits. All the more subtle factors that make up attractiveness and suitability for bonding are secondary when first impressions are being made.
