A daily shower promotes hygiene. I don't believe in forcing someone to shower but everyone should be encouraged to take a daily shower.

Side: Yes

Yup... I agree with you on this... But isn't it a common courtesy to shower at least once a day.... Right?

Cleanliness is next to godliness. Children should be taught from an early age to get into the routine of personal hygiene, including daily showering. In most cases washing is a taught feature of life, and one which many try to avoid. An illustration of the ongoing battle between parent and child is depicted in the very old and light-hearted family argument between mother and son. Son;- ''there's no point in washing my face as it only get dirty again''. Mother;- '' then there's no point in me feeding you as you'll only get hungry again''. This argument/counter argument has been going on for many generations.

One reason why we live longer, have created healthy lifestyles and kept some diseases at bay is through personal and environmental hygiene.

People aren't forced nowadays more than any other time, it's just expected. We have all the technology and resources available to stay clean, it makes sense to take advantage of it.

It is only hygienic to take a shower everyday.... If you were already grown up, would the opposite sex like you/wanna date you if you only showered once a week?? You'll stink!! :P

If we are killing germs too much then we won't be able to develop immunities to as many diseases.

I say no because it's not really necessary to shower everyday. If you shower everyday it cleans you but it also destroys us especially our hair. Sometimes it needs its own natural oils on the scalp and if you keep showering your hair 24/7 and shampooing every single chance you get, your hair is gonna lose it's natural look and it will be damaged.

You could skip a day in a week at least to not shower. But of course you have to wash the places you have to wash and I think you all know what I'm talking about here. Just because you choose not to shower on a daily basis doesn't mean you can't individually wash other parts of your body that needs cleaning most of the time.

Depends on the culture. Hygienic rituals are not universal.

Regarding the point of health, showers do not contribute much to the spread of disease. Washing your hands or covering coughs/sneezes are far more significant.

ppl should give careful consideration to their hygiene and maintain it based on need, not based on schedule...

we should be teaching children JUDGEMENT, not imposing "rules" which may not even make sense when water is in short supply.

if you're dirty or you stink, then bathe.... if not then, put it off and save the water.
