People should need to work for a living- unless, of course, it is a household where one of the people works and the spouse stays at home and keeps the house in order. Welfare for people who don't have a job comes out of tax money, which comes from people who do work. Why should people who have worked to be in their place be forced to support people who don't pull their own weight? That goes against everything capitalism is about. Side: Yes, people need to work.
