Everyone deserves a future and an opportunity. Someone doesn't have enough money to attend college, then she is stuck forever without a job a college graduate can have. I believe that this I not very fair.

Premise: A firm wants to hire the best candidate for a job.

Premise: There are smart, intelligent, creative and skilled people who 'only' graduated from high school

Premise: There are people who graduated from college who are not as smart, not as intelligent, not as creative and not as skilled as the above mentioned people.

Conclusion: In this case the person who 'only' graduated from high school should get the job

I think no because you can have more time to think about ypur future and what jobs you want to get. Plus, you have more time to learn and become smart.

Even if you don't graduate from college, you can have time to think about your future. Not graduating from college does not always mean you can't think and plan about your future. You could learn more in college, however that depends on what job you want. Someone can learn from many resources such as people, experiences, book and many more, without having to go to college.

I would say no, because there are numerous fields where the college education is essentially a requirement. Mechanical engineering, for example, generally requires math skills above and beyond what can be learned in the best of high schools, and beyond that which you can simply punch into a scientific calculator as well. Medicine- including nursing- require further education than is available to a high school student simply to perform the most basic entry-level positions.

I don't believe that individuals should be discriminated against due to not holding a college degree, but I also don't believe that individuals should be considered for a job that they aren't properly qualified for. As such, perhaps allowances can be made in some fields (such as engineering) for those who study independently, but some fields (such as medicine) require specific foundational education and experience that are above and beyond what can be studied independently.
