Should phones be aloud in school?

They should be ''allowed'' as long as they're not too ''aloud''.

If you're still at school you should spend less time thinking about the school's phone policy and more time listening to your English teacher.

A phone has become a necessity in today's world. To ban phones completely would create various problems however regulating there usage by creating rules such as "phones off in class" and also putting and enforcing consequences behind those would help stop undesired usage of the devices. As a student myself I need my phone to connect to the outside world in emergency cases however the majority of the times it only serves as another distraction.

They can be used to call home if there is an emergency. Plus what's the problem with texting your mom and/ or dad in between classes. Therefore cell phones can also help kids study for quizes or tests. Cell phones should be allowed in school.

Yes they should be, and here is the reason why, it teaches responsibility, how it does that? You may ask, the reason is quite clear: A student's education is their responsibility, not any one elses, if they spend too much time on their phone in class, that is their problems, not their class mates problem or their teachers, if they don't get a higher mark because they were on their phone, who's fault is that? The students. Students should be allowed to be on it, for they are to prioritize their time appropriately. They need to learn to prioritize their time appropriately without a teacher telling them not to... It will be a useful skill in the future.

Phones have their uses & benefits. They should be allowed in School but they shouldn't be allowed to be used during times when the Teachers are teaching (unless the Teacher says it's okay or you're taking a photo of the Notes or the Homework you have to do or something).

They might as well learn sexting safely in school under a teacher's supervision instead of learning it from who knows who out walking the streets.

"Turned OFF" is okay. Apparently they are not improving spelling class. They should NOT be "ALLOWED" to be ON in class.

Not until we learn to spell. I feel until we can distinguish between "allowed" and "aloud", cell phone use should be cut down.

Cell Phones are necessary in certain classrooms for research purposes and to contact family members when someone needs a ride. However, students should not have access to phones until after class ends.

Phones should not be a loud, they should be a quiet and not allowed in school. Phones cause bad habits so students don't learn to smell good.

No, students do not need phones in school when they are under the age of 18.

Phones should be aquiet in school, not aloud. Maybe when kid's phones are permanently banned from school, they will learn how to spell and then they can be allowed to use their phones when school is over.
