Any clinic should help you, with total confidentiality and well done for being responsible enough to think of this. Ask LOTS of questions when you go- remember, it's YOUR body and YOUR future at stake here so don't be intimidated- go to another clinic if you feel uncomfortable at the first one. Knowledge is POWER. Just be REALLY informed before starting to take a hormonal, oral contraceptive (the pill). Why? Because if you are a young teenager your hormone levels may not have 'settled down' properly yet after the onset of your periods. These hormone levels change as your menstrual cycle progresses and an oral contraceptive pill affects this. When you decide that the time- and more importantly, the GUY is right, for you to begin having sex, please use a condom as well as the pill. Avoiding catching an STI (sexually transmitted infection) is as important as avoiding pregnancy. Sex should be joyful in every sense of the word so please respect yourself and do not use it as a cheap manipulating tool (or allow a guy to use it as a tool, pardon the pun, to pressure/blackmail you.) You should never be in a position to 'regret' having sex with anyone, so choose him wisely-this is a special moment in your life and you DO want lovely memories right? There are many brands of oral contraceptive pill and it is often trial and error to find one that causes minimal side effects and suits YOUR particular body. Be courageous and empower yourself with as much information as you can by talking to someone you trust (and who knows the facts, not the myths!). Side: Should
Most certainly, they can, and very regularly do get pregnant without the permission of their parents. Unintentional pregnancies can cause immense stress and the birth of unwanted children can lead all too often to regret and unhappiness at a time when the young should be enjoying the freedom of youth without cleaning the soiled nappies of their unwanted child. I understand that your a girl and that your entire perspective in life is entirely emotional and impulsive, but let me clarify that- that man you told to be nice was only speaking the truth and didn't write it in a condescending tone. That means his speech while not sugar coated with butterflys and rainbows flying around it was anything, but not nice. I'd say it was neutral if not slightly over dramatic. Side: Shouldn't

Are all people on the Left complete morons or just those on this site? Teengers are IRRESPONSIBLE in nature. Many will not use birth control no matter how much you talk about it. Parents should be involved with any decision like that because they should be the ones teaching their kids not to be having sex, and how disruptive and burdensome it would be to their lives. Do any of you wonder why so many single mothers on welfare did not use birth control? THEY ARE IRRESPONSIBLE or they want kids to get more welfare money. Either way, we are talking about total irresponsibility. Side: Shouldn't

Are all people on the Left complete morons or just those on this site? No. Teengers are IRRESPONSIBLE in nature. Many will not use birth control no matter how much you talk about it. So why wouldn't you try to increase the odds of them using birth control? Parents should be involved with any decision like that because they should be the ones teaching their kids not to be having sex, and how disruptive and burdensome it would be to their lives. Yes, they should be, but many aren't and won't be. We need to be pragmatic and take steps to address that. Do any of you wonder why so many single mothers on welfare did not use birth control? THEY ARE IRRESPONSIBLE or they want kids to get more welfare money. Either way, we are talking about total irresponsibility You are providing arguments in favor of increasing the availability of birth control. Side: Should
Parents should be involved with any decision like that because they should be the ones teaching their kids not to be having sex, and how disruptive and burdensome it would be to their lives. Are you fucking retarded? Teenagers are so irresponsible that they can't possibly use birth control, but their parents will be able to get through to them by teaching them not to have sex. How do you not see the complete absurdity of your claim? Side: Should

I have the simple intelligence and history to know that back in the 60's when we had no sex ed., there were far fewer teenage pregnancies. I lived during that time when parents taught their children to abstain from sex until they were grown and loved a person. There were far fewer pregnant teenagers that had to drop out of school. I was in schools back then and I know this to be true. Your denial is a joke! Today we even have teens who think it is a cool thing to be pregnant in school. Sex ed. today is a result of the sexual revolution and morons on the Left refuse to address the core problems in our culture or address the core reasons why so many teens are having sex. Our famiies are broken and there are so many teens with no father or mother at home. Try addressing this sick self love culture that decided to separate God and moral values from our public. There is your core problem. NOT BIRTH CONTROL! Birth control is a band aid that will never solve the problem. We have so many pregnant teens today who simply have abortions and no one ever knows they were even pregnant. Now please make your ludicrous lies and tell us how there were more pregnancies back then but no one knew about them. LOL Gee I wonder why I ban so many people on this site. Its like talking to children who simply deny the obvious. Side: Shouldn't
