Should the US support Israel?

Israel is a terrorist state that has been committing genocide on Palestine and has way too much say in foreign affairs.

Jews are sometimes even worse than muslims. It's actually a jewish tradition to suck a baby's penis after you cut it's foreskin off.

They should be treated the same as we treat any other foreign nation.

Meaning...

1) When they act in ways aligned with our policies we should reward them, and when they don't we should withdraw those rewards.

2) When they are faced with crises we should help them if they're able, but likewise if they inflict crises on others then we should help the others

3) If their existence is of military importance to us then we either put our military there or we help them have enough resources to help themselves

I think it would be foolish to pull all support because of past bad behaviors. But I also think it foolish to prop them up and shield them perpetually.

"3) If their existence is of military importance to us then we either put our military there or we help them have enough resources to help themselves"

I really do think it's military strategy that causes the U.S. to support Israel. Since Israel depends on the U.S. for defense, it will act as a base and provide support for U.S. military operations in the region.

The U.S. has no business getting involved with military operations in the region.

The United States' politicians are the only allies of Israel in the world. Just as the politicians in the USA are under the thumb of the National Rifle Association gun lobby, they also heed the Israel lobby. As a permanent member of the UN Security Council, the United States' ambassador routinely vetoes international criticism of the Zionist State. This prevents the UN from assisting the Palestinians' rights which is indefensible.

Obviously there is no easy solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict. When land was appropriated from Muslims and given to Jews (for no good reason I might add) of course a violent struggle for ascendancy would result. Churchill could simply have permitted the Jews from the German empire to settle in western countries, or elsewhere within the British empire. Taking land from one group and giving it to another invariably engenders resentment and reactionary violence. There was no need for the Jewish homeland to be reinstated 1000+ years since it last existed, it simply seemed expedient at the time. Jews would not have faced persecution in, for example, America and England. Just over a million Jews had settled in Israel by 1949 (founded 1948), of which the majority were already in British Palestine! (Source 1). War immediately resulted (within 2 weeks!) from this transfer of land and since then has raged intermittently.

What's done is done though. The only manner to attain lasting peace is for Israel to give Palestine back some of what it has annexed. There is also the problem of checkpoints and the quality of land each state holds. I am not sure that even this will result in peace, however, as a great deal of resentment will remain. Moral of the story: don't take land from one group and give it to another group, especially when the groups have deep historical enmity between them and the land has religious significance to both!

Absolutely not. Israel is a rogue state by every definition of the word. It has broken more UN resolutions than any other country in world history it and has the worst human rights record of any country which provides statistics to the security council.

The existence of Israel is a farce. It is land given away by right of conquest, nothing more. The support it receives is a payoff for its strategic military advantage to the United States.

I do not see how Israel is any use to the USA which has no business in the Middle East to begin with. None of the Middle East countries share American values. American involvement in the region has been of no benefit to Americans and it's not worth a drop of American blood. Supporting the Zionist state has made America a bogeyman from Casablanca in the west to Tehran in the east.

I have no problem supporting Israel, supporting a leader like Netanyahu is another matter! With that Yahoo in control there will NEVER be peace in the middle east. Obama, (and most other Presidents in the Yahoo era), knew this. Now we have a President that never found an arrogant bully he didn't like ..... unless it talked back to him!

Obama vs Israel

Who killed more people? That'd be Barak.

Who killed more Muslims? That'd be Barak.

Who dropped more bombs? Barak.

Who gave Iran billions as they chant death to America, death to Israel and death to Europe? Barak.

Who started ousting leaders in North Africa? Barak.

Who tried to steal and influence an election in Israel? Barak.

Any questions?

Who killed more people? Well counting Palestinians, Egyptians, Jordanians, etc. that'd be Israel. If Barak HAD NOT killed Muslims, as Dubya did, you'd be hammering him for NOT doing it, as you would if he HAD NOT dropped bombs! Trump said he'd "bomb the shit out of them!" I guess THAT would have been okay?? Dubya gave Iraq billions ... just left it at the Baghdad Airport and it "disappeared" (While their ISIS followers chanted death to America). Barack gave Iran THEIR MONEY BACK in a deal to STOP THEIR BUILDING NUCLEAR WEAPONS! Good deal, says OUR and the European military Generals and leaders. Mentioning that he disagreed with Netanyahu's policies does not a "stolen election" make ...the fact that it didn't change the outcome makes it a moot point. The Europeans (NATO) "ousted" Gadhafi, WE only gave them air support. Any other alternate facts??
