Here's how it works. When you are first starting out, you are just trying to figure out how the real world works. Most people have a low paying job, rent, and car payments. It takes a while to get on your feet, get a high paying job, and start raking in the bucks. During that time you want a shortcut. You want others to pay your way and give you a handout. You become a liberal.

But then when you finally get on your feet and do start raking in all the cash you look at your pay stub and you're like, "Who's FICA and why is he getting such a large chunk of my money?!" When you realize that it is just another tax, you become a conservative.

You see, eventually you figure out how the world works and you move up. But then the liberals want to change the world/rules and you're like, "No! I just figured it out. Leave it the way it is." But they change it any way. Like when they started Obamacare. But, you see, the Democrats really don't care about the liberals. So they make the people who voted for them, young people, pay for Obamacare.

Now..., eventually you will retire and you won't be paying as much in taxes and you'll revert to your old ways and you'll want someone else to pay for your retirement, and health benefits, so you'll go back to being a liberal ;)
