Unless wild animals are endangered by threaten of being hunted too much or becoming extinct, there is no logical reason that we should keep wild animal in zoo.

Well there are other reasons. For example, when bears misbehave in national parks, there is sometimes no alternative.

Side: Yes

Animals deserve to live freely in the wild not in cages. Even people took animals away from the Savannah and Africa also in Madagascar which is a real place.say no to cages said no to cages say no to cages say no to cages.

If animals deserve to live freely in the wild, why do other animals eat them alive?

Do the ones that eat them deserve to kill the ones that deserve to live freely? If they deserve to live freely, and they get what they deserve, then all the meat eaters will have to live freely without eating other animals, and they will starve to death......

So you are against cages and in favor of half of the animals in the world starving to death so they can rot and their nutrients get taken up by plants and then everybody and everything will be vegetarian because we all deserve to live freely in the wild?

Let's be realistic, it's a dog eat dog world we live in. If we don't eat them, they will eat us.

Side: Yes

To be honest friend it's the circle of life have you heard of that because it is nature and all natural

You would do better to be concerned about innocent babies who are killed before they are born....and some of them that are killed immediately when they are born.

Yes it's sad to see an animal looking sad. It would be better to just slaughter them and eat them than to have them caged looking sad, but that's the way it is in the world. The laws allow people to keep animals. There are laws against abuse or cruelty to animals.

You can't make yourself good enough for heaven by caring about animals. Your sins have to be paid for so you can be forgiven. You're trying to be a good person, but you can't be good enough to go to Heaven because you are a sinner the same as everybody else. God will take care of the animals, God is going to fix everything and make it all right for all of the animals eventually. It's sad in this evil world, but it's not going to be like this forever. People are what's important now, animals are not as important.

Side: Yes

The people that are voting yes on this debate are just cruel they're just jealous of animals freedom me and my team of allies are nice to be on my side they truly care about animals like I do just think about cages how do you feel like when your caged like an animal I wouldn't like it ,neither would you do . This is your last chance of being on my side think carefully

Side: No

So what ,about extinction for zoo animals.so tell me do you want me to make a debate about it should be illegal to hunt animals because I could do thatI can really do that then if I win the debate let's talk about this later Shall we.

They are living things and they are locked up for our pleasure and profit, they may not be as intelligent as us but they can feel pain

Animals hunt each other down, of course they die in the wild, we have the food chain and that's how nature stays in balance, you can't say that animals are better off in cages as they are safer because unless an animal is in immediate threat of extinction they should be kept at a center, not somewhere where they are gawped at just for some rich guys profit

Side: No

Yes we should keep wild animals in zoos, but only until they are ready for us to eat. Then they should be kept in the refrigerator or the over until fully cooked.

Side: Yes

So no more zoos?

Leave them all out in the wild to be killed mercilessly by poachers, extinction nigh?

By the same reasoning, we should set free every dog, cat, bird, tarantula, and goldfish with which we share our homes.

Frankly, I don't thing my dog would survive a day in the real world.

Hey guess what my dog survived two days in the wild so if he can do it even your dog can and trust me I doubt that your dog can survive a day he probably can for at least two days more

Your argument is based entirely off of anecdotal evidence. Dogs have coevolved along with humans for thousands of years, and at this point the species which we have adapted are dependent on humans for survival. If people just let their dogs go free very few of them would survive. It would be inhumane and cruel.

You don't say! Two whole days!

Well, then, that proves me wrong.

Side: Yes

I will say that it depends on the animal, but many of them need to be in there. Lots of zoos take in endangered animals and keep them in captivity because they have a much better chance of survival, its a proven way to keep these species alive. Granted, the main reason they are endangered in the first place is because we are killing them off by shitting on the environment, but that is all the more reason to take efforts to keep them alive.

Side: Yes

Yes. Until they are rehabilitated they should be caged and kept away from the general population.
