Yes, they are humans. It would be ridiculous not to. There are too many cruel people out there that make fun of people for their disabilities or treat them like they aren't as good as other people.

If you're talking about mentally handicapped, my boyfriend's brother has Down's syndrome and there's nothing "non-human" about him. He's not exactly the same as "normal" people, but then again, I'd like to see a "normal" person. David has his strengths and weaknesses, just like anyone else. That is what makes him human, just like the rest of us.

Absolutely! Why should we treat them any other way? They already are humans and every human being deserves to be treated that way. If you were handicapped, wouldn't you wish to be treated as a human being? One other thing, we should have learned about equality long before this country was almost torn apart because of slavery!

Of course we should treat handy caped people like humans, although this is mostly based on your personal opinion. Discriminating handy caped people could lead to discrimination of blind people, religious people, opininated people, etc. A mentaly hand caped person should also be treated as a human, because if you think about if you were handicapped wouldn't u wanted to be treated with love or respect. No one deserves to be treated like an animal, and this goes back to many classic books in which authors/philosophers emphasize supporting our fellow man.

Yes, Superman is a great example of a caped person who is very handy to have around! We treat him like he is a human, don't we? So yes, all caped people who are handy should be treated no differently than those who don't like the fashion style of capes.

Yes they are people and even if they are a little different we should respect them like the human they are.This is America and we should have learned through slavery that all Men and Woman are treated equal.If we haven't learned that lesion the i don't have much hope of America.
