Slippery slope arguments will cause the world to explode
Slippery slope arguments say that one thing is bad, because something similar is bad. If we can't talk about one thing at a time, but are always changing the topic to something else that we would rather talk about, then we will never address the real decisions that we face. If we never address the problems that we really face, we won't solve them, and we will go to war, and cause the world to explode.
We are doomed

Generally you want to avoid slippery slope arguments unless there is good reason to believe that one step is likely to lead to another, and even so the more steps you have the less likely the last step is to come to fruition. So in some instances slippery slope arguments are okay, but you always want to take a critical look at them. We can all think of slippery slope arguments that come to absurd conclusions.
