Snowflakes crying about student loans Loans, debt, etc. in America is actually an excellent resource if utilized with a plan, that makes sense, in mind. Many students (18, 19, etc.) do not have a grasp on what they are doing, as it would seem the parents/adults overwhelmingly do not have much a plan either--which is who (ostensibly) is guiding them. Then, they end up unnecessarily digging themselves a pretty deep whole before they are aware of it. It is a shame, really--as that much money could be used toward a lot of other things that are very useful. Typically, the pay-back plan is actually quite reasonable. Side: My professor used me
We really need to stop encouraging our kids to go to college. There, I fucking said it. We need to go to high schools all over the country and tell the kids that they've been lied to their whole life by their parents and teachers, and that they need to get a job out of high school instead of going to college. We need to be honest with kids and tell them that most of them aren't meant for great and grand things, and a few of them are just stupid, and that's OK- there are plenty of jobs out there that don't require a degree and can produce a decent living. What we have now is a surplus of idiots who went on to higher education because they were told it was necessary, just so that they could end up with useless degrees and six figures of debt. This cultural trend has to fucking stop. Get kids who have no business in higher learning out of school until they have a clear career plan that requires it. Get them employed and actually learning some goddamn work ethic. Once it's no longer seen as a requirement to survive todays economy (which, of course, it isn't) then the actual value of a degree will go up since there are fewer people who have them and fewer people partaking in degrees that are useless. On top of that, with lower demand comes lower tuition. The system is broken, but it goes way deeper than "it should be free/cheaper", this is going to be a problem that requires us to shake up the entire higher learning industry. And it will be good to produce fewer of these fucking little safe space pansies too. Side: My professor used me
Being that every other developed country has much lower fees, too right they should be angry. Especially as the US is apparently 'great again'. To enter into an agreement with a university to pay such a huge fee though is stupid. People need to be more international and seek opportunities abroad.. you have to accept that the US does not, at the moment, want you to be educated. Side: My professor used me
