So Sick Of America's Culture Of Military Worship
I am perpetually in awe of how any country could fight the Nazis and then half a century later adopt the precise same culture of military worship. It's insane, and I have trouble wrapping my head around how Americans can be so stupid. I'm watching an MMA event which took place over the weekend and they are stopping it after every single fight to play cheesy adverts grovelling to the military about how grateful everyone is that they are "defending our country".
You have to keep your troops inside your own borders to defend your country. Someone really needs to explain that to these imbeciles.

You're getting this of an MMA fight, it would make sense that commercials would center around fighting (military) and the like. One doesn't typically see to many military commercials with shows that aren't about fighting. I know I've never seen any ads for enrollment on cooking shows, any number of children's shows I have to watch, judge shows or pretty much anything else that doesn't directly involve punching someone in the face for sport. Probably not the best idea to decry "America's Culture" over something you get off a commercial.

It wasn't the commercials. This was happening throughout the fight card. The commentators were announcing their love for the military at the end of each and every fight.

Minty, I have watched a great deal of American media and there is an unmistakable culture of military worship. It is most apparent in the far right outlets like Fox News, but it exists homogeneously throughout the country. None of the Liberal media outlets dare criticise "the troops" because they are frightened of the character assassinations which will follow, like: Why do you hate America? Why are you on the side of the terrorists? Why are you such a coward? And so on, and so on, ad infinitum. This is how the right is able to suppress dissent throughout much of America.
