How do you expect to afford giving everyone a free ride? Your inculcation into the capitalist narrative is so complete, so thorough, that you evidently do not see the problem with pretending capitalism still exists once you abolish it. There is no "afford" because that very concept is indigenous to capitalism. Hence, your question is meaningless and nonsensical. Furthermore, you have things backwards if you believe socialism is going to give people a "free ride". The free rides are happening right now in the form of hedge funds, security exchanges and interest policies. Socialism is a proposed solution to the academic fact that the working class (i.e. the overwhelming majority) are being ripped off on a daily basis by the higher classes. There cannot be any form of debate between us if you do not accept and understand the basic reality of the situation. If you want to argue black is white then I challenge your understanding of the word debate. Capitalism is a system where the rich are propped up by the poor. It is the literal definition of a free ride. Side: Fiddlesticks in my rectum
