Für fortgeschrittene Lerner sollte das Kursmaterial an ganz individuelle Interessen anknüpfen. Dadurch wird die Motivation erhöht, sich mit dem Material zu beschäftigen.
Die Weitergabe von Informationen bedeutet jedoch nicht zwingend Lernen. Lernen ist ein kreativer Prozess, bei dem neue Information mit bereits bestehendem Vorwissen verknüpft werden muss.
Sprechen Sie darüber, wie sich die Sprache entwickelt, wie Wörter in der Gesellschaft verwendet oder ausgesprochen werden? Wenn ja, dann bin ich einverstanden, aber ich denke auch, dass Sprachbücher eine richtige Basis für das Lernen geben.
Ich denke hier eher an Kurse zum Erlernen einer Fremdsprache. Im Unterricht für fortgeschrittene Lerner wäre vielleicht der Einsatz von mehr (oder nur) authentischem Material sinnvoller als die Arbeit mit einem Kursbuch, in dem jede Woche mit einem neuen Textausschnitt gearbeitet wird.
