Sorry christians, christmas is a pagan holiday

Everything from your christmas tree to the reef on your door has an "evil satanic" pagan origin. How does it feel to know the day that you celebrate your fictional lord's birth is actually deeply rooted in pagan traditions which were originally a celebration of winter solstice?

Christmas is not a pagan holiday. Christmas, the mass/festival of Christ, is a holiday made by Christians to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Christians stole pagan traditions and labelled them as their own. Though, I get what you're saying. With a little translation, this is true. -Agnostic Satanist

Haha what, tell me are you sure about your statement ?Christian stole Christmas from the pagan tradition but it isn't a pagan holiday? Also, Christian made it but at the same time they stole it in pagan?

I don't get how my facts were in any way moronic. Maybe you're a Christian and dislike the truth? You tell me.

So what if it was? What makes one superstitious batch of bollocks better than another? Can't we just enjoy the fucking holiday?

Yup, a good portion of Christmas did pull from Pagan traditions. Yule log, wreath, tree....

Christianity did this to encourage people to "their side" by bringing in parts of different beliefs including Paganism which had a large base of believers mostly among the poor and farming communities. Jesus is largely thought to have been born around the Spring time, but Christians wanted to include a celebration during Winter and Saturnalia was a good celebration to absorb.

But really, so what? It's no more or less special for people who celebrate Christmas to know it's a mesh of beliefs and a helluva fun holiday.

Verse needed to make me care.

Couldn't care less. Once I saw atheists trying to say the Horus and Jesus stories were the same, then I read them and they were nothing alike, I assumed from there on that atheists are making it up as they go along. And with decades of study, they are.

Nah, they don't say these just to get along, They are just trying to expose false religions because they are simply an atheist, since they don't have certain belief what they do is just interfere with other religions. There belief is full of denial on unseen creatures and nothing more.

Ofcourse they wouldn't change in decades coz atheist always have the same mind-set as the other atheist.

we shouldn't be suprised if they compare horus to Jesus, because that's true that they are so many common features about them such as ressurection, the miracle birth, a creature also predicted horus' birth ,also the healings and many more , and the thing that takes some weak Christians doubt is that horus existed first before Jesus making them think that Jesus was only a replica of horus.

Well Christians listen to me (back off atheists),Horus was just clearly a myth that carries a man's imagination coz these men are bored as hell, you see, horus isn't that intelligent and just go with the flow with his feelings, just like men, even tho we don't know it, we don't really follow our mind, we follow our emotions unlike Jesus, Jesus never wished for a partner ever since he was born, but I'm sure all men other than Jesus have wished for it since it is natural in humans to have partner in life to avoid being alone. Well if he is fictional then the writer is abnormal because commonly every adult in a fictional story had spouse.

Jesus also willingly go to the Jews even though he knew he was about to be killed meaning he isn't afraid of death, he was probably the first character who have this characteristic, if you are an author ofcourse you would prefer for the protagonist to have a nice ending. But the only difference between the works of human years ago and the bible is that jesus had a happy ending in heaven unlike most characters in fictional story, their usual ending place is always on earth not anywhere else.

If you want to know how Jesus is different even in horus, challenge me either you are a nagging or sober person

How about: "You're a hilariously pathetic 47 year old Jewish zealot who has literally spent Christmas evening attacking strangers on an internet website"?

So sad. This is what happens when you don't cuddle your kids. They grow up to be mean-spirited, sociopathic cretins.
