Spending 80 billions in religion and 20 in space units-America's new scenario.

I would support the funding of space exploration, as this is the modern day equivalent of the great exploratory enterprises of bygone centuries. It was the nations whose governments financed the much ridiculed and daunting exploration expeditions that reaped the massive rewards for the people of their respective countries. If the United States fails to keep ahead, or even fails to keep pace with Russia and the emerging Asian powers of China and India in space exploration they will pay a heavy price for their shortsighted imprudence. The preferential treatment of one religion over another does not lend itself to racial harmony in a multicultural society such as the United States. President Obama seems to me to be an inward looking, small minded domestic President who lacks vision and a grand futuristic strategy to maintain America's position as the greatest and most powerful nation on earth.

Absolutely ridiculous. I am against too much being spent on space exploration but the idea of spending more on the reverence of an imaginary friend (God) is just a joke.

Neither are justifiable, as long as we continue to have an obsession with space and making another planet habitable, as well as the worship of a god that we created there will be no end to the extravagance.

There are so many other ways that that amount of money could be used for that would have greater benefit to society, the biodiversity and the planet we live on

It is ridiculous to believe that space exploration won't lead to great things on Earth since NASA has already created so many useful technologies.

I need more clairity in order to comment.

80 billion spent in religion

Who is spending? What is it being spent on? Over what period of time?

Same three questions for 20 billion in space

Obviously Obama is spending this cash ever since he has been in control,in order to make people believe in Christianity rather than making them go atheists; So much spent in charity,on top of it 'Christianity Promotion',enrollment of priests;Look the NASA scientists are gettin' frustrated with such low allocation of funds to their sector;ever since MOMS has gone to Mars(from India),scientists are scratching their heads and bitterly sobbing.

Thank you for that clarification.

You are claiming that Obama has spent four times as much on religion as on space exploration.

in order to make people believe in Christianity rather than making them go atheists; Examples? Not sure how this was done.

So much spent in charity,on top of it 'Christianity Promotion',enrollment of priests Charity promotes Christianity? Enrollment of what priests into what?

Sorry I still don't see the ties to religion. More clairity? Please

In addition to what daver said, where are the sources?

Side: Ofcourse who cares about space

Solve the problems here on Earth first before spending money on anything else.
