Ever since TV took to the commercial platform, it has become structured on two principles to ensure it's continuity

CONTROL:

TV might be an object for entertainment and information for the viewer yet on the other end, TV is a tool for commerce for the media baron and a propaganda rod for the bureaucrat who till this day retain the monopoly of deciding what, which and who gets to be on or off the precious airtime of profit or politics.

CHOICE:

There may be a hundred thousand stations for some who afford full subscriptions but will one really watch all of these stations? Then building on the previous point, the owners of the TV station outlets make the ultimate choices of what's on and what's not. There's only two choices for the owners of the TV set, switch stations or switch off!

for example , if you want to know something about current affairs, you can get the news from tv but if you wanna go depth about any news then you can only access internet by just typing the news name and you will get the whole information......

for an instance, you can compare ndtv and yahoo news .

this is kind of preaching to the choir is it not? i prefer surfing as you make your own decisions about what interests you...whereas with TV there are times when you cannot find anything you want to watch

net is quite better than tv because in net we can find tv with many other things but this cant be true in case of tv

net is always better than TV coz. one can watch tele programs on net also but one cannot search for other material on the TV. it shows only specific programs.. so way to go net!!!

I like that a TV has a bigger screen, many channels, and that it provides family time.

I like that the Internet provides you with a lot of information and that you can find anything you want on it.

You can watch movies and tv shows on the internet.

Therefore it wins.
