CreateDebate is a social debate community built around ideas, discussion and democracy.
If this is your first time checking out a debate, here are some quick tips to help get you started:
Arguments with the highest score are displayed first.
Argument replies (both in favor and in opposition) are displayed below the original argument.
To follow along, you may find it helpful to show and hide the replies displayed below each argument.
To vote for an argument, use these icons:
You have the power to cast exactly one vote (either up or down) for each argument.
Once you vote, the icon will become grayed out and the argument's score will change.
Yes, you can change your vote.
Debate scores, side scores and tag scores are automatically calculated by an algorithm that primarily takes argument scores into account.
All scores are updated in real-time.

When you are ready to voice your opinion, use the Add Argument button to create an argument.
If you would like to address an existing argument, use the Support and Dispute link within that argument to create a new reply.
I'm mostly doing this to maybe get some people to think. Maybe there's a religion that actually fits your beliefs better than the reigion that you're currently following?
Of course, it's just a random quiz on the internet, so it may mean nothing, but it still may get you to think a bit.
My results pegged me as being apart of 'Unitarian Universalism'. Since pantheists can be described in this manner, though rather very generically, it's still accurate as Pantheism is not a direct answer in the test (as far as I could see).
Ha ha, I didn't know the word for my faith really until maybe a year ago, so calling it such myself is not commonplace, since it's almost a fresh word for an old idea.
Is that so? I do not know then if you getting Unitarian Universalism is inaccurate then. I actually had to look up the philosophy myself, and it's not really an organized religion, but more of a category that clumps atheists, agnostics, pantheists, polytheists, monotheists, etc, into one giant group around the similarity that they all search for the meaning of existence actively as opposed to adhering to the teachings of an organized religion without any intrigue or questions.
And while pantheism has the potential to answer the ultimate questions, it's not quite as solid in rule as Christianity or Islam. Pantheism is almost literally about searching for what life means to you, therefore rendering us almost completely down to this 'Unitarian Universalism' group.
Well the reason I said no to it is because I actually dislike organized religions like that. I prefer a more personal kind of religion. One that doesn't require you to be around others who can sway your decisions.
Well i never really "claimed" to be anything other than a spiritual being going through life, I got hinduism, but im more of a taoist, before i would have just said im a shaman, but it would seem shamanism and taoism are very close together
Secular Humanism (100%). Description of it seems to be accurate enough. Still, I don't exactly "claim" myself to be one.
Non-theist (97%), this should be 100 also... As I am not a theist, not even slightly. And I think I know where the 3 went... not many option, just two or three.
I took the quiz and it said that I was a conservative Christian so its what I claim to be and I knew the results would probably be that I would be a Christian.
Actually i turned out to be closer to Secular Humanism. Despite my mistrust of being tagged to any religious or ethical faction, i found it more interesting than how much i was, in deed, expecting. To me, it's a nice test. Surely, i dont consider it, in any way, scientifically worthy.
Square bracket hyperlink word or phrase and add your URL between two rounded brackets like this [mighty ballbags in here] (http://blahblahballbag.cumdumpster.com), just make sure that the square bracket word and the round bracket URL have no space between, like this](
On your page for typing arguments, there's two blue words separated by a line "Show help / Nevermind" click on the show help one and it gives you the instructions for formatting your posts with italics, bold and the blue hyperlink, alternatively hovering the cursor over the encircled question mark beside the words "Write your argument:" will show you the same info.
It probably is more clear than what I've typed above.
It said I was a secular humanist. I don't really give a shit about humanism. It had non theist as second though, which is correct. Funny that, how agnostics will label themselves as "non theists" but then shy away from the label of "atheist".
Secular humanist, meh. Some scientology, I don't have any idea how my answers could have made me anything more that an atheist scumbag, but there you go.
There was a few questions where I didn't like the answer groupings, forcing me to pick the one over another or to pick one not applicable along with one that was, so the results are not accurate.
It says I should be a Mormon. I'll notify my wife to expect a few more women to help around the house. In the mean time, I'm gonna knock on some doors ;)
lol Knocking on doors is the commission that Jesus gave all his followers just before he went back to heaven. That is the purpose. But if you knocked on a stranger's door, what would you talk to them about?
