Techno or EDM in general
Anyone on here into EDM?
I'm not a lover of Genre boundaries so anything really, my own personal taste and style is techno and techouse, but I listen to most styles of music, given that most on here are Americans,
I'm pretty sure there'll be some negative comments by those whose music collection doesn't stray much from Eminem or Avenged Sevenfold, but I said I'd ask anyway.

House- I like the older American stuff better than most of the current breed (but I do dig on a fair amount of electro-house and complextro as well as some progressive). Just about the best music to dance to and flirt with chicks with as long as it doesn't get too cheesy. Hardhouse/NRG/Hardstyle- A good hard beat dj is a good experience, but I consider that side of electronic music to be a "small doses" sort of thing. Techno/minimal- pretty much my favorite sub-genre of edm anymore. I don't like all of it, but a proper minimal track in the hands of a skillful dj is a glory to behold and dance to. Trance- I used to really like acid trance/hard trance etc, but never dug the more mainstream side and really have gotten freakin' tired of the anthems. Breaks- does anyone even spin breaks anymore? Never really got the scene, but it can be a nice change of pace once in a while. DNB/Jungle- Used to be my favorite style, and I still go out to the local jungle nights when I can. A little over it, but still have heart for the scene. Dubstep- It is growing on me. Not my favorite, but I like it a lot more than I used to. Real hardcore/gabber- I used to spin this once in a while. Good cathartic stuff. As long as I don't hear too much in one weekend, I'm chill with it. Happy hardcore- I hate that shit. Always have. Ambient/downtempo- the older I get the more I like it, especially with a good hip hop/trip hop groove to it. 1

House- I like the older American stuff better than most of the current breed There's some fairly good house producers around now, especially when you listen to the more techy side of it. Hardhouse/NRG/Hardstyle- A good hard beat dj is a good experience, but I consider that side of electronic music to be a "small doses" sort of thing. I used to be big into this stuff, but kind of grew out of it. When I meet up with my old Djing partner we will spend a few hours playing it, but like you, small doses. Techno/minimal- pretty much my favorite sub-genre of edm anymore. I don't like all of it, but a proper minimal track in the hands of a skillful dj is a glory to behold and dance to. I'm with you on this too, I personally spin this sort of stuff these days, and produce some as well, although not to any great level. Breaks- does anyone even spin breaks anymore? Never really got the scene, but it can be a nice change of pace once in a while. It's nice dropped in to a set, but kinda lags a bit when there's nothing but it, it's like a weak cousin to D'n'B. DNB/Jungle- Used to be my favorite style, and I still go out to the local jungle nights when I can. A little over it, but still have heart for the scene. I especially prefer Jungle to the D'n'B. Dubstep- It is growing on me. Not my favorite, but I like it a lot more than I used to. I personally prefer the original Bristol type stuff, never got too much into the wobble all night business, it's cool, but in small doses. Real hardcore/gabber- I used to spin this once in a while. Good cathartic stuff. As long as I don't hear too much in one weekend, I'm chill with it. I'm like that with banging music as well, I get the weirdest reactions from people that can't understand that. 1
