The "robots" are taking over our jobs for example any hospital/insurance place (when you call).

Side: I agree

I personally Think that technology is indeed overruling our world. Don't get me wrong, I think its great that we are advancing in technology, it makes scientific research and cures and things like that better, but at the same time I feel like it is affecting too much of our daily lives. Its kind of sad in a way. Our world is so dependent on technology. It revolves around it. Nowadays many people spend a bulk of their time on the computer, or watching an excessive amount of TV. Sadly I am not guilty of it. I spend a lot of time on the computer myself, but I still always make time to do other things. But a lot of people don't. They want to replace books for "I-pads" and things like that, which I find wrong.

What do you find wrong with that. For the first time in human history we have created intelligence. The processing power of a computer doubles every two years which means by 2046 we reach singularity, roughly. Now imagine when all the diseases will slowly go away and globalization and the trading of information will forever increase. Poverty could actually disappear and also malnutrition could potentially go away. Also if you are scared about the environment then technology could help as we replace the need of trees, creation of an eco city, and the less of the need of land use. Dependency on a technology could at first be a problem but imagine when technology becomes more mobile and then we could enjoy the environment with technology in our pockets. Books may disappear but remember it replaced papyrus and that replaced clay tablets. Its envitable that it would be replaced.

Also you can usually program A.I with loyalty and there goes any robot revolution.

I said there were some good things about it science related, which involves medical things such as cures, etc. However, What happened to actual communication. Now it is all about texting or talking over the computer. Obesity amongst kids is increasing due to technology. (Obviously blame is on parents as well though, as well as the kids themselves) A long time ago kids would play outside. That doesn't happen very often nowadays. I just find it kind of sad how dependent we have become. There are Pros And Cons though of coarse.

I do not want "SkyNET" to take over humans, that would be horrible and disgusting.

Actually, I have no problem with machines or technology I just have issues with the way they are utilized and ran by the people running them; for example, cars that do not have the potential safety capabilities standardly installed into them (more money means more safety) capitalism is the reason for that. Or how about assembly lines, why do people have to get hurt/sick/eventual illnesses and problems because they're in their with polluted air and other harmful fumes. Why not build bots to take care of that sort of thing and hire those people for other work.

I'm just afraid that if technology goes to far humans will forget that they're humans.

My answer is yes, because as you can see now we use the technology everywhere, and you are using a technology to write this debate.

Yes it is and soon we will get more in the future since the future is probably going to be more technological and I will be wondering what kinds of things will they be making.

Side: I agree

Technology is overruling the world but it is in a good way.
