That all Zoos should be closed

Well, if they close all the Zoos, what are they going to do with all of the animals; have a Bar-B-Que?

BTW, I hear that the fish they serve at Sea World are their slow learners. Is that true?

i start my topic by saying zoos should be banged because in zoos they gives same food for every animal and every day they are wasting their live their by staying their . they can also keep in a large area which full of securities and air force to no hunters to kill the animal.i end my speech by saying zoos should be banged.

I think zoos should be closed because animals may cause death and injuries but they only do that because of pain and hunger. If this carries on, animals will go crazy in the zoos and may start attacking. Animals are chained up and I heard that also some animals are chained trough their noses. They should be left in the wild wit there own relatives. As well as leaving in the wild, they need freedom and happiness. And that thats why I think zoos should be closed unless they are helping and caring the animals and creatures.

Well considering some people want animals to have layers that can sue you, I guess it's only a matter of time.

Side: No

No, that wouldn't be a good idea at all. Many of the animals are born in captivity and have no idea what a jungle or natural habitat looks like. Besides it is educational for children and adults alike.

Animal law deals with the problem of animal mistreatment, and there are laws against animal mistreatment. But there is nothing inherent in zoos that suggests animal mistreatment. Take a look at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, for example -- the idea is that the enclosures are so big, the animals don't even know they're in enclosures. Zoo animals are expensive and zoos are clearly accessible to public scrutiny because the whole point is to let the public in, so most will make every effort to treat the animals well.

Second, zoos are educational. They allow the public to see diverse animals firsthand, to attend presentations about the animals and what we know about them, etc. This in turn encourages awareness of things like species preservation efforts, and also promotes interest in related sciences like zoology, biology, ecology, veterinary medicine, etc.

Third, zoos are scientifically useful. They enable zoologists to observe animal behavior over time and to conduct noninvasive studies like determining what the optimal diet is for a given species and then checking to see whether that diet is still readily available to the animal in the wild, and if not that data is of use to ecologists in assessing what the likely impact would be and what, if anything, should be done about it.

Fourth, zoos are helpful to conservation efforts. Any zoo that keeps an endangered animal is almost certainly part of an inter-zoo breeding and re-population program.

Finally, the majority of zoo animals are captive-born, not wild-caught, and as someone has already mentioned their chances for survival in the wild are in many cases dubious.

Banshee's argument and supporting evidence is substantially clear. Zoos are perfect areas for children to interact with each other in an environment that includes various species. They can then return to the classroom and have a practical idea of what animals look like; they can then examine their behavioral patterns in captivity by viewing the Discovery or Nature channels. They can then use their imagination to further their knowledge of animals in the wild.

A zoo environment, I agree, is limited, however, to reach a conclusion that they should be closed is fallacious and unsupported with no clear evidence; unless of course you are considering closing zoos due to budgetary constraints or lack of funding.
