Well let us see.

First, before I can comment as to whether something is indeed paradoxical, I suppose we need to agree first upon the definition of the word "rationality."

Let us for now, go to Webster's............

"Rationality is the quality or state of being reasonable, based on facts or reason. Rationality implies the conformity of one's beliefs with one's reasons to believe, or of one's actions with one's reasons for action."

So.....given that definition, which to me personally is pretty accurate and makes a good deal of sense, I would say that basically rationality is based on FACTS and REASON, and is the process by which we attempt to rationalize or justify those beliefs.

A "paradox" is something that at first glance would seem to be something fairly obvious, but then, upon further inspection, becomes something quite different. Or totally unexpected.

Hmmm. I now conclude that with only these definitions at hand, I can personally find no paradox in the concept of rationality. Unless you are insinuating that nobody can be totally rational and know the REAL truth because we are all biased and subjective in our own ways, whether we like it or not.

So....are you claiming that?

Please elaborate so I can give a more concise answer. Without additional information, I will have to disagree with your debate premise.

Thanks.
