The Constitution and Bill Of Rights

The Constitution and Bill Of Rights has been the cornerstone of the American Way Of Life since the Countries inception there have been many ammendments to this document over the years what are peoples views on this should there be new ammendmets like allowing stricter Gun laws and Gay marriage or should it remain unchanged, do people like the ammendments that have been made already like banning slavery or allowing Women to vote.

I believe Gun Laws should be tightened, i'm not talking about the outright banning of Guns i'm sure that would not happen in a Country like America where Guns have always been a way of life and people hunt and seem to have a love affair with them, maybe stricter background checks or stricter rules on what kind of weapons people are allowed to own.

I also think that Homosexuals should be allowed to marry afterall their not hurting anyone and not allowing them to get married isn't going to somehow stop them being Gay so why deny them the right to marry their loved one

As someone who was maybe wiser than me once said "dont like Abortion dont get one, dont like Guns dont buy one, dont like Gay marriage dont get one but dont try and infringe on someone else's right's then complain when your's are infringed upon"

That's a wise quote and it's always my argument when the opposition tries to command us.

It's one that's next to impossible to argue against because if you do your arguing to have your rights revoked, it also puts things into perspective for people

It's nothing unusual that democratic countries do update their "Bill of rights" from time to time. To make it suite more to present issues etc.

The Constitution is a piece of jaded paper and not relevant to 21st century contemporary standards. It should be re-written.
