HOOORAH! I can finally agree with broncoraptor on something! Four stars! The problem is, the stupidity and arrogance of the far right wing in so joyfully wanting to slap Obama's ASS! For over 50 years America has wanted affordable health care, many Democrats have tried, Republicans have wanted NO part in it (Too much money coming from Big Pharma and the Insurance Cartel! Screw the American people!) Obama was forced to take what he could GET, as a start, hoping to get some cooperation to improve it! At least he GOT what he could get! Conservatives, rather, used it as an object of hatred, again, SCREW the American people! Which is what Ryan's plan DID, in SPADES! (At least those who needed it MOST!) OOPS! Didn't realize I was spelling Brontoraptor wrong! NO health plan is going to be affordable for long if it creates PROFIT for capitalists, they always want MORE! This should be FOR THE PEOPLE, not for profit! Side: GOP stop messing around

There is a bill before the house that is going up for a vote right now: HB 676 proposed by John Conyers D-MI would establish a Medicare for All Single Payer healthcare system. If you want real, meaninful healthcare reform that would cut healthcare costs SIGNIFICANTLY then contact your representatives and tell them to get on board. Side: GOP stop messing around

One single individual is responsible for the failed attempt at repeal of Obamacare. The speaker of the House, Paul Ryan. Trump listened to Ryan's advise and Ryan blew it, with a half ass , weak attempt, bound by reconciliation, rather than a bold and powerful bill to repeal completely. Side: I disagree

Uh, no. The republicans had a solid 6 years to draft a healthcare plan and work out all the details, get it opinion tested with the american people and have it ready for the next president. They did nothing over those 6 years and drafted a plan in several months that looked like the essay assignment the lazy kid in class cranks out the night before its due. Instead of working on a plan they decided to try to repeal obamacare some 65 times knowing full well it would never ever pass the president's desk. The whole party is to blame for this failure. I almost feel bad for Ryan who was given a turd and told to sell it to the american people. Side: GOP stop messing around
Yeah it's true that the Republicans had years to get their shit together, but Ryan should have brought the whole party together with a bill that nearly everyone supported. Instead he told Trump that he could get a bill through the House, and clearly he failed to do it. This left Trump with the impossible task of making a deal happen with the Freedom Caucus, which was Ryan's responsibility in the first place. I take your point, but Ryan is the guy who failed to deal successfully with the situation as it was. Side: GOP stop messing around

Here are the realities of Government! Do people have any idea how hard it is to pass any legislation without one vote from the opposing Party? You need a certain number of votes to pass legislation and when you get none from the other Party, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT! This is not a Republican problem. It is a problem with this extreme Liberal Democrat Party whose only goal is to to block anything Trump does. Democrats will say Republicans did the same thing with Obamacre. I say no, Obamacare was a Liberal plan that was doomed to fail and not one republican could vote for such a pathetic mandating intrusive healthcare bill. It tooks months and months of knee bending to get that final Democrat vote for Obamacare. There are all many levels of Republicans. We have the establishment republicans who never dared to fight Obama's Liberal agendas. There are the moderate Republicans and there are the Conservtive republicans who lack the numbers to get legislation passed. So with those factions, it is almost impossible to bring them all togther to pass something without one vote from the other side. If there truly are moderate Democrats left in their party, we would have at least seen a couple votes supporting this bill. The sad part is, that this bill still left in some subsidised mandated coverages that were not catastrophic plans to keep premiums and deductibles down. Americans can not afford these huge premiums and deductible. The plan was created by the establishment republicans who seldom dare doing what's best for this nation regardless there re election chances. Side: I disagree

Maybe try proposing a bill that isnt corporate garbage. It was giant tax breaks for the wealthy and set up a system which would still mean that the US is the only nation on earth where medical bankruptcy exists. The bill wouldve ensured that more people lost healthcare coverage rather than extending it to more people. Also it wouldve scrapped a rule that requires private insurance companies to pay out 80% of every dollar they make from premiums to care, leaving only 20% for overhead. The republicans would allow that to tick down to 70 or even 60%. Meaning that 40% of the money the american people pay them for healthcare goes into the ceo's pockets. The private insurance system is fundamentally flawed. You can reform it all you want but its still going to be shit because its profit motivated. If they can save money by NOT providing you care they will do that. If they can save money by letting you die they will do that. "i say no" okay but then you go on to explain that republicans did the EXACT SAME THING. Also newsflash, obamacare aint a liberal bill. The liberal option is medicare for all single payer. Even a state option wouldve been liberal yet they abandoned that too. The American Health Care Act was a conservative plan that was doomed to fail and not one democrat could vote for such a pathetic mandating intrusive healthcare bill. see?
