The Hero Instinct VS Princes Instinct in regards to love.

According to this article/video, the secret to a man's heart is the "Hero Instinct."  Basically if a woman manages to create an environment where a man feels like he's a hero, he will love her.

If that's true, then the secret to a woman's heart is the "Princess Instinct."  Basically women are programmed since birth to be princesses (one example:  Dysney).  If a man creates an environment where a woman feels like a princess, she will love him.

I would prefer a relationship based on reality. Men aren't no damn hero and women sure as hell aren't princesses ;)

Side: True.

I'd prefer things to be real.

Not like I'd care much about such things either way.

All you did was regurgitate what Joe said. You even posted to the opposite side of what you believe, just like he did.

Oh, so you read just the first thing of it.

And I don't think I have disagreed on the validity of the claim here. Neither has he.

I wonder whether you really had to say anything. I might as well be trolling by posting on this side.

This is not true. Especially when you are dealing with a submissive woman and dominant man in a relationship; the aim is to make him feel like an alpha villain and her to feel like his 'chosen second-in-command.

When dealing with a dominant woman and submissive man then yes the hero complex is what keeps the man hooked generally as he feels fulfilled in being one of a select few humans who his mean wife shows her soft side too (much like in the reverse but for the man it is less about being chosen, more about having earned it).

In more in-between couples, both feel protective and heroic over the other but also feel protected and nurtured by the other.

If none of these 3 are the dynamics of a heterosexual relationship, it will be an unfulfilling one at the very least.

I have NO desire to be a Princess. I like getting my hands dirty in the dirt when I farm, manicures are a waste of time and money and if I leave the house with my hair brushed, I consider it a good day! Seriously, kids....they be crazy... ANYHOO, people need to be who they are, men aren't hero's and women aren't damsels in distress....unless of course you want to be.

I scrolled through this video and it was agony to watch , straight away I said it must be American because what the fuck is a relationship coach and who the fuck even uses one ?

The content is absolute horseshit if you even mentioned what this genius says to your other half over here she would look at you like you're barking mad ...... and she would be right

When our kids are raised with the criterion of getting laid at the age of 10 I am not surprised that there are relationship coaches, do i agree with them? No someone should be in control of there own but. question the morals of most modern relationships.

Here it would still be rather valid.

Because that's how most of the Indian movies are.

Does the culture really reflect the movies, though? There's a fair bit of it in American media, too, but I wouldn't say it really represents the average person (but maybe I'm out of touch with average people).
