I would agree. Not that Atheism is a bad thing but it would be better to not believe in God then to believe in Him and His teachings and still be a total asshole. (sorry for the language). With the latter, especially when people cherry pick what they want to believe to justify improper actions, it's basically like spitting in the face of God.

I'd take it a step further. It's better to be an atheist than to be any kind of so-called Christian who acts like an arse to people. Specifically thinking of the Evangelicals who argue they can say and do just about anything to people so long as they have accepted key verses in the Bible as their total reality.

At least with atheists there's usually an awareness their behavior falls within a society. Living within society's rules is better than believing all of society can kiss your arse unless everyone accepted the same key verses of the Bible as their total reality too.

Plus it's common sense. The Pope wouldn't want a pedo or drug dealer ruining the opinion of his religion.

Religion like this is outdated anyways. Atheism is the basic response to this religious superstition that continues today.

It's true.

First, Catholicism teaches universal salvation, that nobody remains in Hell forever. Poke Prances recently stated this and he's supposedly infallible.... so if they are atheist and they go to Hell and get out eventually without anybody paying for their Hey Mary prayers....so it's better than being a bad Catholic and causing trouble for the Poope. If they are bad Catholics, the Poke may make them stay in Purgatory for half of forever and their family will be forever buying candles to try to get them out of Purgatory so they can go to Heaven. That's how Catholicism enslaves people, telling them they can never be good enough to enter Heaven (which is true) and then coercing them to try to buy favor with God by serving the Poope. Believing the Bible will set a person free when they are reconciled to God and know their sins are forgiven and they are going to Heaven so they don't need any help from the Poope, don't need the Poope's approval or permission.

The Catholic church used Darwin after schooling him under Jesuits to push belief in evolution as a means to turn people into atheists or to at least undermine their belief in the Bible as authoritative. The Poop..actually the shadow government of the Vatican....claims to be above the Bible in Authority, and they would much rather people be atheists than to believe the Bible. Believing God's word sets a person free so they will not bow to the Poop. Believing in evolution leads to atheism which enables fascist dictators (like the Poop) to rise to power killing millions when they convince people their fellow man must be sacrificed for the evolutionary advancement of the fittest who will survive.
