This is a formal challenge debate.

Hello I am AveSatanas and i am an 18 year old law student. i will be arguing (obviously) against the validity of christianity and by extent the concept of a god. I have been on the internet searching long and hard for the evidences for and against christianity and other faiths for about two years now since recognizing my atheism in early 2012. When i observe the reality we share and the universe in which we live i see no indication of a spaceless, timeless, immaterial, omnipotent, omniscient being. Science has provided and continues to provide concrete naturalistic explainations for nearly anything it delves into studying. There are also many pieces of the bible that are wrong and frankly absurd. I believe that my opponent will use such arguments as the ontological argument and the kalams cosmological argument, coupled with percieved refutations of evolutionary theory or the big bang theory and its implications. They may also use the moral argument as well, but what i am almost positive i will see is the use of the bible as evidence for its own claims. There is no concrete evidence to support the unfalsifiable concept of god pushed by monotheistic religions, and there certainly is no reason to believe in the god of the bible or any of its supernatural claims. This being said what would change my mind is simple: empirical evidence for the existence of a god. Side: False

Hello I am a Christian and believe that it is true. I have grown up always desiring God and to serve him. He had showed himself to me ever since. I believe Christianity is true because I see how God works in the life of Christians. There are many reasons that I believe Christianity is true. I always look back at the words of God in the Bible. The word of God has always interested me because I knew I needed it. I do not understand why people do not believe in a God. I use to have my doubts but then I have found evidence for the truth and then believed. I look around and see God's creation and think: Wow there is no way this is by Chance. I look at Israel and see the footsteps of Jesus. Where he walked and where he taught. Sometimes I can not explain to people how much Christ has done for me. I have come here at this Debate to prove that there is a God and that Christianity is true.The believe that I will be asked: Is there extra Biblical evidence? What is the Extra Biblical evidence? I believe my opponent will use Cosmological Arguments. I started defending the faith three years ago. My desire is that all people may go to Heaven and that all people may get to know Jesus. I am 16 years old and I strongly stand firm in my Faith in the existence of God. I believe in an intelligent designer. I will point back to the resurrection of Jesus Christ and will deduce the evidence in this debate. Most of all I will use deductive Logic(Formal Logic). So I hope I give satisfactory evidence and reasoning to support the truth of Christianity and existence of God. Side: True
