The bible says whatever it wants to, and people interpret it however they want to fit their needs.

It's an old book, and I seriously think that all religions need to adapt to a changing world, otherwise they'll become extinct, in a way.

Easiest way to explain it, is that the verse you quoted is from the Levitical code. Which is the biblical "law" that the hebrews abided by for quite some time.The levitical code was filled with alot of rules, some arbitrary to the extreme, some downright offensive. It was believed that to go too heaven you would have to fulfill all these laws.

We can't. So God sent Jesus to die for our sins, so the law wouldn't have that much of a bearing on us. So... in essence the bible taught to punish homosexuality by death at first, but then in the New testament it moved to a more tolerable stance.

Romans 7:6

6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

By the way, don't you, guys, think that gays' relationships is NOT our business? As one Facebook post said, "You are against gay marriages? Don't get one!" And that's the point. Mind your own business and let gays love, marry or ask God for forgivness by themselves. Be tolerant. Jesus teaches you love - so love and let love the others!

i am a Christian and i must say looking at this verse i get upset at first. i have gay family members that i love and respect. so when i look more into this verse i can say to myself and to everyone that this verse is saying being gay yes is a sin and also looking at another woman while married is a sin. we all should go to hell for are sins and die a horrible death. not just gays everyone! but Jesus Christ saved us from all are sins and we need to ask for forgiveness. being gay is wrong, yes but we all do wrong, so i don't hold myself any higher then a gay person.

I'm pretty sure that 'death' in this instance does not refer to a physical death, but rather a spiritual death in hell.

Well I don't agree. I am a Christian and do believe in certain things but I just don't find homosexuality a sin. In most cases you hear that gays did not chose to be gay, the feel as if they were born with it. So if God made them that way why would be punish them?

The reason why it says to kill gay people is because it is wrong to have sex with the opsite gender and also you can't have sex with the same gender as the person. God put Adam and Eve on this earth(male and female) to populate the world with male and female. You can't have male and male populate the world because both of the men have the same body parts so there is no way to reproduce with gay people.
