When you look at America's history, Capitalism has proven to work in the short run as well as the long run. The simple concept of a merit system whereby all able bodied people control their own quality of life, is the perfect system to lift all boats.
The simple desire of financial gain and a better life is what drives job creation and an economy that helps all segments of our population. Lazy people will have a lower quality of life, and therefore will have an incentive to work harder.
Socialism has just the opposite effect on an economy. It punishes success and rewards laziness. The perfect recipe for a dead economy, high taxes, and a future of debt. In the early stages, Socialism seems to work because people are living off a debt load that is still sustainable. But with every decade, the negative effects of Socialism begins to take a tow.
What do you suppose happens when a big controlling Government decides to redistribute more and more of your hard earned money each time you grow your business or career? You will ask, why bother working hard, succeeding in life, only to have your hard earned money taken from you by corrupt politicians buying votes.
In America, we are living during a time of prosperity whereby people start believing money grows on trees. We are bombarded by corrupt Left wing closeted Socialists who for sake of elections tell you we can give the good life to every single American.
Millennial's are perfect fodder for this Social pie in the sky utopia. Ignorant College kids who have never balanced a budget, never owned a home, never paid taxes, etc., thinking they have all the answers to life.
It's no shock to why low end voters more often choose the Democrat Party. They want the good life but are too lazy and spoiled to work for it. They want it given to them because the Left has conditioned them to believe they are entitled to it.
It's no mystery why Obama ushered in records numbers of people living off Food Stamp and other Government programs. It's no secret why our national debt doubled during his terms. Money does not grow on trees, and Socialism will lead to dead economies and a debt load too high for the working man to fund. The only reason it seems feasible is because we are today living on debt.
The minimum payment on that debt will become unsustainable.
Conservatives understand the simple truth that money does not grow on trees. We know that the easy life built around debt spending will come to an end, and that all able bodied people must help pay for their own livelihood. Democrats do not care about future generations and always look for short term political gain.
