The word Progressive is suppose to represent a person who wants our nation to progress.
Any honest person would admit our nation has been moving in the Left's progressive direction for decades now.
So lets take a look at this so called progress garnered from their ideology.
One would think that the most important gage to progress for any nation would be the condition of our families, our children's well being, etc.
Progressives ignore the condition of our broken families. They ignore the record numbers of children living with no father at home. They ignore the record numbers of families living off food stamps.
Do you want to know how the Left defines progress? They define it by the percentage of Government dependence.
They actually think that record numbers of people living off food stamps, is a good thing. They consider that a success! They actually believe in bigger socialized Government and see it as a good thing that so many Americans are now dependent on tax payers.
Progressives have no problem with record numbers of fatherless chidren because this ushers in their socialized Government utopia. They refuse to address the problem of broken homes other than creating one social program after the next, giving our children case workers rather than addressing the absense of fathers at home.
The priorities of Progressives in not the state of our family, but rather the state of LGBTQXYZABC groups. Their priorities are forcing every state in America to change their marriage laws.
The priorities of Progressives is forcing every public schools to allow boys in our daughter's bathrooms.
The priorities of Progressives is stripping away the last remaining right's to life of even viable late term unborn babies. They applaud themselves for supporting No restriction abortions of viable babies and forcing Americans to pay for it through medicaid, Planned Parenthood, etc.
The priorities of Progressives is not worrying about possible Terrorists entering America through the refugee programs. America's safety is not a priority to them.
Our children's education is falling behind the world no matter how much money we throw at it, and what do Progressives say? They refuse any change to this failed system and refuse to allow school choice for parents and their children. They want your child funneled into public schools and conditioned to the Political correct way of thinking.
This is what Progressives call Progress.
One shining light to progress in this nation was the end of slavery, and treating all people with respect regardless the color of their skin. Progressives are even screwing that up by constantly race bating to garner votes. They are taking us back to a time of riots in the streets and once more pitting American against American. We are now seeing Cops executed in the streets because of this constant race bating.
I don't know about you, but my idea of progress is a million light years apart from what Democrats call progress. I won't deny that Progressives have done some good things for America. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in awhile, but the vast amounts of damage from this Progressive movement far outweighs the good.

I don't think so. People who once called themselves Liberals decided they did not like that name, so they changed it to progressive. Sounds so good doesn't it. Kind of like changing the name Global cooling to Global warming to Climate change. Whats with Liberals and their constant changing of names? I guess when your ideology is such a failure, they must constantly change the wording to try and make us forget who they are and what they stood for. |
