I'll say this time and time again, look up North for an example of socialism applied correctly. I don't understand how Americans can look at the success of Canada and European countries and not understand that when applied correctly, these programs greatly increase the quality of life and provide a better means to survive. It might have something to do with Canada having more seasonal employment (It gets really cold and snowy up here) and thus a more defined need for socialist programs due to Winter unemployment, but I seriously doubt these programs have a negative effect on the general population anywhere. I had to laugh at that: Democrats made health insurance too expensive .... crap! The very (conveniently) short memory span of conservatives works so well for them. They won't remember that BEFORE the ACA, health insurance was "going through the roof", and predictions were that the cost would double in the near future! THAT is what got the ACA momentum to pass as much as it DID! The U.S. already had THEE most expensive health care in the WORLD, and it was only ranked 35th (or was it 37th?, No matter.) in the world! It was rated worse than ALL industrialized countries that had "Socialized Medicine"! Now, these "it's all your fault" idiots with short memories are doing their thing AGAIN! It's Obama's fault that Dubya allowed the Stock Market to crash! It's Obama's fault that financial institutions circumvented housing regulations under Dubya! It's Obama's fault that health care costs were sky-rocketing before the ACA, and certainly after ... even though the "do nothing Congress" did everything they could to undermine it! It's time we joined Europe so WE can enjoy decent health care! I had a couple of chances to experience European Socialized medicine. I had a chronic cough problem for years. While in Spain it hit me hard! I tried several times in the states, for several years, couldn't get away from it. A doctor sent me to a "Pharmacia" with a prescription, it cost under $10 U.S. ... cured it the next day! On 9/11, I cut myself on the elbow badly. Stopped at a hospital on the way to my hotel, got a shot and 5 stitches. Because I was not a citizen, I was billed ...$30. It would have been about $300 in the ER here! What we can't afford is the "capitalistic medicine" conservatives want to shove down our throats ... or is it UP our a......! 1

Did I say we are a socialist nation at this time? I said it is the goal and agenda of the Democrat party to keep pushing this nation into socialism. Absolutely no question about it. Maybe you missed Obamacre and the Democrat's push for a one payer Government controlled socialist healthcare. -2
