I'm an independent moderate despite the attempts by some on this site to smear me as a Liberal. I think valuable contributions to society and government can come from anywhere along the political or economic spectrum. Which means sometimes I do favor a Liberal position (not always). The biggest things I disagree with Liberals on, within the last year, are suppression of free speech, and lashing out without any more purpose or direction than simply being angry and destructive. Indeed those are two ways the Left can lose all credibility if they take them too far. As for Islam, the truth is in the middle. I disagree with the Left refusing to acknowledge that most of our global terrorism issues revolve around Islam. But I also disagree with the Right's attempt to label all Muslims as terrorists.
