I don't know about either side, but I think people are just tired of his blatant hypocrisy and never answering genuine questions, opting instead to toss out insults, speak in allcaps (like that matters), and shifting blame. He is a mischievous little turd who derives pleasure, maybe even orgasms, by dispassionately planting provocative religious bombshells and then smugly watching the respondents to his devious thread shout their emotionally charged protests while he adds to his cunning trap by issuing threats of eternal torture as well as harvesting a lot of points. Yes, I think his verbosity is an attempt to cover all possible counter-arguments (which can be the weakness of any abridged expression of opinion) in one fell swoop, thus eliminating or reducing the opportunity for someone taking advantage of poorly constructed sentences which could be interpreted as having multiple meanings. Also, I guess the debate creator's authority to ban those whose reply contains unacceptable content such as profanities, can be misused by such small/narrow minded people. The other possibility for Fromwithin's apparent ''eccentricity'' is that he suffers from some mild strain of atheism/asperger's syndrome which disables those with the condition(s) to hold opinions on a wide range of issues and to express their views in a rational and reasoned manner. Analogy. You're like a public flasher. You think the cops chasing you, and the parents trying to keep you away from kids, and the evening news showing edited clips of the fiasco, is all a big victory for you because look at all the people giving you attention and replaying the coverage.
