The way I see it, is our problems are far more trivial than the problems these refugees are fleeing (war, persecution, etc).

Do you want to know why it's mainly young men fleeing Syria? Because they're drafted into the military if they stay.

If you think they should stay, would you?

Fighting an enemy that doesn't fear death & would behead you if you were captured is not an easy thing to agree to.

If there were a war in Europe or US I would hope other countries would help us. It's just basic human decency.

The video makes a good point about celebrity virtue signalling. I have a problem, though, with the idea that one shouldn't listen to their ideological opponents. If you don't listen to your opponents you won't filter out the bad ideas that invariably will take root in your head. Everyone without exception has misconceptions. Ones intellectual enemies do a great service in bringing these falsehoods to light so that we may be rid of them and grow as a person.
