I wasn't less specific. You asked about the adulterer and a thief. At first, I thought you meant those two people from the Bible, but I wasn't sure because you could be talking about in general a thief or an adulterer. If you would have stated they were from the Bible then I would know what you were talking about, but you didn't which caused me to ask you about that.
As the religion is not so powerful these days and less well-received than it used to be, it needs more followers and can't be discriminating on that basis.
These things would be taken care of if the followers were smart enough.
Spirituality is a highly important part of life. Regardless of who you are and what you feel you should follow whatever faith you want. As far as I'm concerned homosexuality isn't even considered a sin in the bible. Certainly not in the New Testament that's for sure.

I guess you missed this from the New Testament. Maybe you didn't realize that "effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind" is a direct statement regarding homosexuals being excluded from the kingdom of God.
How is homosexuality effeminate? It is just a form of sexuality. And when it says “abusers of themselves with mankind" it is referring to male prostitution.
If a man allows himself to be a sexual object of another man, he is being effeminate.
"effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind" ..........this is two different descriptions. One is "effeminate", and one is "abusers of themselves with mankind". The two have similarities and because of those similarities are paired together in one sentence.
God wants men to be men, not to be effeminate and not to be abusing their bodies sexually with men. All fornication is wrong, yet different expressions of fornication are categorized with varying levels of disdain from God.

"abusers of themselves with mankind" describes all forms of homosexuality. Are you trying to say you think male prostitution is excusable?
You've following garbage promoted by stuff like the lesbian who changed the Bible to try to hide it's condemnation of sodomy by changing words and phrases to try to make it appear that what the Bible says against homosexuality was only against male prostitution. That lesbian was one of the editors who created the NIV which is the fake Bible for homosexuals.

All of the verses that are supposed to be against homosexuality are completely misinterpreted. You do realize that the word used to say “abusers of themselves with mankind" is manbed. That is the literal translation. The combination of man and bed. And that was the first use of that word. So if it was meant to refer to homosexuality you think it would be a bit more specific? But honestly I don't care that much about what the Bible says because I'm Wiccan. I just don't like people using the bible to hurt other people.
It is specific and it condemns homosexuality. You have to a lot of mental gymnastics to twist the meaning to imply sodomy is not condemned by the Word of God.

Your mind has to really be twisted to believe homosexuality is not condemned as an abomination in the Word of God. Of course you don't believe we have the Word of God in writing anyways so you think you can make it be whatever you want it to be, just like the lesbian who tried to change the wording to soften the Bible's clear and strong condemnation of homosexuality/
Of course you don't care what the Bible says, you believe you have the right to exist outside of Hell. And it people like you who would cheer at the crucifixion of Christ while you pretend you are "peace and love".
Everyone does. I used to actually be a Christian but I stopped because I couldn't understand how a God who loves you so much can send you to hell. Hell is just used to make people fearful of leaving Christianity. At least in Wicca the Gods are only trying to help you and not condemn you just because you chose not to believe in something there is no evidence for. But I can tell you are not a true Christian because of the way you insult people. But I love everyone regardless of what they do.
If you have the right to exist outside of Hell, why do you not have the right to live forever? If God loves you so much, why is He allowing death to destroy your body?
If your Wiccan gods are helping you, why can't you get out of death? Your gods are deceiving you, making you think you have the right to exist outside of Hell when you can't even get out of death. You're going to wake up in the fire of Hell unable to get out of it any more than your little wiccan devil gods can get you out of death.
You've sinned against God, you are His enemy, you are unworthy to be in His presence and for Him to leave you in Hell forever is justice after He made the way through faith in His blood which He gave as the propitiation for your sins is by you rejected. You reject what He did for you to save you from Hell so you are getting what you deserve in eternal dying in the fire of Hell......except that you repent an believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you will perish in Hell forever dying in your sin as you are dying in your sin now.
You feel insulted when I tell you the truth because you are guilty and in rebellion against God, refusing to repent of your sin and it's taking you down to Hell.
If you have the right to exist outside of Hell, why don't you have the right to live on Earth? How do you know you have the right to exist outside of Hell when you are dying and losing all rights? Since you are losing all rights in death, why do you think you keep the right to exist outside of Hell? Are you God so you make your own reality?
The context carries the meaning and determines the correct translation for the passage. You are not qualified to translate the Bible. It is translated correctly.
