Trump: There would be NO fires in California if they raked the forest.

If we gave every member of his "caravan" a job raking leaves they wouldn't get ONE COUNTY in California finished before the leaves fell again! Obviously, Trump hasn't spent ANY TIME "in the woods"! It would take every citizen in New England to rake my original state Maine and they would NEVER get it done!

Only the "stupor stupid" (Where have I seen THAT before?) would even THINK of anything so DUMB! Trump! GET REAL!

Yeah he really is that stupid.

First, to blame California for disasters like this in the middle of a drought shows a lack of character that no longer surprises me with him, threatening to withhold aid to the victims is even more deplorable. People have lost homes and lives but he wants to chuck blame at CA when the federal government has chosen to divert funds and resources from forest management.

Second, not all of those forested area's are under government control, some are under private control, and anyone who has any brain cells connected know a fire can start even if you "rake the forest". Climate conditions will probably contribute more in the future as warmth, wind intensity and lack of rain, cause the very real threat of massive forest fires from even the simplest mistake, be it lightening or human error.

https://www.sfchronicle.com/opinion/openforum/article/Logging-California-s-dead-trees-is-harmful-to-9698896.php

Logging proponents have described the patches of snags, resulting from either fire or drought and native bark beetle cycles, as devastation and loss. But last fall, more than 250 scientists sent a letter to Congress stating that these areas of “snag forest habitat” are “ecological treasures rather than ecological catastrophes” because they support levels of plants and wildlife comparable to old-growth forests. Many species are rare and imperiled, such as the black-backed woodpecker that depends on this unique habitat. Historically, snag forest habitat made up between 15 percent and 20 percent of our forests, while today it makes up less than 5 percent. Dead trees are the most important parts of a healthy forest as they anchor soils thus preventing erosion, shade new seedlings from intense sunlight and provide habitat for scores of insect-eating bats, birds and small mammals.

Read and get educated because your Leftist agenda in Cali ain't working ! Ask all those that lost their homes !

I love that you think that actually disproves what I said and bolsters your argument. Most scientists would argue that of any forest, not just the one's in California.

You well like this one there Jewel !

Most are in remote areas, and removing them would be extremely costly and ecologically devastating. The black-backed woodpecker, northern fisher and northern spotted owl are among the species that rely on dead tree habitat.

Also, dead trees store carbon for decades. As they decompose, much of their carbon returns to the soil, where it is held for thousands of years. In a large-scale removal, all that carbon is disturbed. Worse, when conventional biomass incinerators are used, it immediately releases carbon and worsens air pollution.

Cali government is at fault for putting their people in the peril they are now. Not even arguable at this point.

We all know your priorities.

You are more bothered by Trump's so called lack of character then you are about viable babies being killed.

Do you have ANY idea how lost you are?
