Trump signs bill undoing Obama coal mining rule
President Trump signed in legislation ending a key Obama administration coal mining rule. The bill quashes the Office of Surface Mining's Stream Protection Rule, a regulation to protect waterways from coal mining waste that officials finalized in December under Barack Obama. As if Obama was concerned with protecting waterways in coal country. Now it just gets better and the Progressives view on coal. " The rule is among the most controversial environment regulations the former administration put together. The coal mining industry said it would be costly to implement and lead to job losses across the sector, which is already suffering from a market-driven downturn in demand for its product."
Coal generates 44 percent of America's electricity so where is downturn for the product ?
The loonie left like to be seen and heard occupying the moral high ground by objecting to the use of fossil/carbon based fuels as a source of energy. The one small element they fail to mention is how to keep the lights on and the wheels of industry turning. I keep saying it,but it is worth repeating, Donald Trump has come to power just in the nick of time. Let's hope the Obama wrecking machine hasn't caused too much irrevocable damage. Only jesus Christ SuperStar, and eventually time knows what skeletons Obama has stuffed into the cupboards. 2

It's not the sort of thing that can happen overnight. Begin with small steps. Coal produces around 39% of US energy (give or take, that's a 2014 figure) you start by replacing 1% of that coal with a clean and renewable energy source, then keep doing so until coal is completely eradicated as a necessary source of energy. No one is suggesting we just get rid of coal overnight without anything to replace it. That's ridiculous. 1

Voting is like driving a car, choose "R" to go backward, "D" to go forward. This is a prime example! Surface mining is destroying a beautiful West Virginia FAR more than a few jobs that shorten West Virginians life span. (Those stupid liberals care more for lives AFTER they come through the birth canal! STUPID!) Let the coal miners suffer and DIE! At least they'll make a profit for our China investors! By the way. Those stupid Chinese are cutting their coal production DRASTICLY and investing in wind and solar jobs that build units they will sell to U.S.! (In plants funded by American capitalists, some of which own our coal mines, no doubt.) Yep, that Obama was stupid .... Well, I don't live anywhere close to a coal mine or the waters near to them. So I have next to no direct impact on my life from this. So if I'm to take a lesson from the typical conservative mindsets on this site I should basically say screw the stupid coal mining communities who are going to be poisoned by this. You voted for Trump, he's letting your coal mining go wild, and when it poisons your communities you asked for it. See ya. How does that sound, conservatives? Am I learning? |
