That is how our society works when dealing with insurance.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU BUY A HOUSE IN HURRICANE LOCATIONS? YOU PAY HIGHER PREMIUMS!
What happens when you have pre-existing evidence of bad driving? Your premiums go up!
What happens when you have bad health from who knows what...smoking, drugs, obesity, etc. etc....... YOUR PREMIUMS WILL GO UP!
It is only fools in the no fault, bleeding heart, vote for me Democrat Party, that can't grasp how things must work in order to prevent bankruptcy of our insurance plans.
According to the Centers for American Progress, a person with metastatic cancer could see a premium of $142,650. Isn't that the same as having NO insurance?? Won't that person DIE in the streets?
He will still have to pay for it. Do you have 143k lying around your house? What about the people who would only not have money if they paid their medical bills? What about the guy making 70k a year? Does he get covered by Medicaid?
Now you are getting the meat of the argument and the truth of who you are. You are a socialist who wants others to pay your bills, even if you can pay some of them yourself.
If a person has big medical bills, he must use his own money to pay for his medical bills until medicaid kicks in.
That is only fair. It's his illness and he should pay his bills if he can. If he can not then medicaid will take over.
You have been brainwashed by Progressive big Government taking care of people from cradle to grave, you can't understand why we should pay our own bills if we can.
The reasons why healthcare is so expensive is because everyone expects someone else to pay the bills, and the Government pays these huge costs which is why Hospitals and doctors charge so much.
You are a socialist who wants others to pay your bills, even if you can pay some of them yourself.
Ok, so you criticize me for thinking that someone should get help from others to pay their bills(an argument I didn't even make).
If a person has big medical bills, he must use his own money to pay for his medical bills until medicaid kicks in.
Then you suggest that the solution is to have other people pay the guys bills for him. This is why I attack you.
Medicaid didn't just magically kick in when you get sick unless you legislate it that way. Are you saying that's what the Republican legislation should have? If you keep your job/pau you wouldn't qualify for Medicaid.
That is only fair. It's his illness and he should pay his bills if he can. If he can not then medicaid will take over.
That's the discussion we need to have. You have to stop proposing the government should pay the guys medical bills them calling people socialist for thinking the government needs to step in and pay the guys bills. All it does is make the Republican party look like they don't want to help sick people.
You have been brainwashed by Progressive big Government taking care of people from cradle to grave, you can't understand why we should pay our own bills if we can.
It's your solution. Your solution is to have the government pay. That's why I don't understand. It isn't brainwashing, you proposed that as a solution, too.
The reasons why healthcare is so expensive is because everyone expects someone else to pay the bills, and the Government pays these huge costs which is why Hospitals and doctors charge so much.
Then stop wasting my fucking time making the liberal fucking argument and act like a fucking man.
I said Government should help when a person has a life threatening illness and has no money to pay.
How do you determine if he has no money? Remember you also said that anyone who suggests the government should pay is a socialist.
We don't kick a dieing man into the streets.
I know that. You know that. But, telling people that you aren't a socialist and the government paying for someone is socialism means the exact opposite of what you believe.
You on the other hand want to force Government to pay for people who still have their own money.
If you work hard your whole life with the government taking 1/3 of your money, you shouldn't end up with 0 dollars just because you get sick.
QUIT WASTING OUR TIME.
Quit contradicting yourself and represent what you want republicans to do.
Thanks for admitting you are a socialist. If a person worked his whole life, he should be smart enough to have insurance. But today people would rather have nice cell phones, go out drinking every week, having nice cars, nice vactaions, nice homes, casinos, etc. etc.. but when it comes to going without some of those nice things in order to buy Health insurance, people like you say Government should provide it.
No, Government should be a safety net only, and when people choose to spend their lives having fun and not securing their health, it's not my problem to bail them out.
People make those choices long before they say they can not afford healthcare. I'm sick of living responsibly, within my means, and then having the people who squandered every dollar they ever made come running to me with their hand out demanding I give them my hard earned money.
Life is a series of lessons and when we choose to punish responsibility while rewarding irresponsibility, society will fall as we are seeing. It will bankrupt.
You are so fucking dumb. Please tell everyone you are a liberal so you make them look bad for a change.
If a person worked his whole life, he should be smart enough to have insurance.
Can you think of a reason why you might switch your insurance? Say good bye to all of those possibilities.
today people would rather have nice cell phones, go out drinking every week, having nice cars, nice vactaions, nice homes, casinos, etc. etc.. but when it comes to going without some of those nice things in order to buy Health insurance, people like you say Government should provide it.
Bullshit. The things you list don't have to be nice to be expensive. A standard car is expensive. A regular home is expensive. Besides, that's not true any way.
No, Government should be a safety net only, and when people choose to spend their lives having fun and not securing their health, it's not my problem to bail them out.
You have assured me that you are a socialist for believing that.
People make those choices long before they say they can not afford healthcare. I'm sick of living responsibly, within my means, and then having the people who squandered every dollar they ever made come running to me with their hand out demanding I give them my hard earned money.
You live in your liberal dream world where everyone makes enough money to support themselves, they just spend it wrong.
Life is a series of lessons and when we choose to punish responsibility while rewarding irresponsibility, society will fall as we are seeing. It will bankrupt.
You really should read what I write. I am way smarter than you. Is better to listen to smarter people. Your idea of socialism is being slightly more generous with government money than you would be. That's stupid. That's nothing close to socialism. There is an old joke: a man asks a woman if she will have sex with him for a million dollars, and she says yes. Then the man says well you have sex with me for a dollar. The woman says "what kind of woman do you think I am? ". The man says, "we have already established what kind of woman you are, now we are haggling over price." You are a socialist haggling over the amount to give out.
The understanding is that Democrats such as yourself want a bunch of bureaucrats in DC who know nothing about health insurance dictating to the people their expertise on healthcare. Government run healthcare is a failure from the start.
Do you believe paying higher premiums for a house you choose to purchase is the same as paying higher premiums for a disease you did not choose to have?
The difference with that comparison is you CHOOSE where you buy the house, you do not choose to have cancer or Autism or an ulcer or Asthma.
Were those people with said diseases paying a higher premium before Obama came along. A Junior Senator from Chicago with zero experience in the healthcare business.
And I repeat, this is why we need a safety net for those rare cases where we could not even prepare.
Government should be for a safety net, not a socialize way of life.
Government has been PROVEN to be corrupt since time began. Power and money corrupts. It feeds on it's self until one day it collapses from debt.
America was founded on that realization and why we the people should be in control of helping each other, families helping family, Churches helping the poor, charitable organizations helping out those rare cases, and the last being Government's safety net.
Government is ineficient, becomes bloated, and is never run on budget because their answer is always to simply raise taxes (or higher unaffordable Obamacare premiums and deductibles) when they forever miss their budgets.
Have you noticed how when people fall on serious illnesses, friends and families many times throw benefits to collect money to help? This is something our Government could be used for. It's time we started thinking outside the box before the collapse of all our social programs.
There could be a huge charitable fund created. The money given by millions of Americans could be invested and grow, and be used for a safety net for all those cases where people can not pay for their huge bills.
This is when you would find out how non compassionate Liberals truly are when it comes to giving of their own money to help the poor rather than creating a huge socialized Government to redistribute our money.
Hey you 74 year old excon let me quote Nancy Pelosi for you or should i do that. At 74 you should remember what she said about The Unaffordable Care Act.
